Officials at the Pentagon have compiled hundreds of cases of misconduct against top leaders in the armed forces and civilian services, according to a Tuesday report by USA Today.
The misconduct cases include several sex scandals and instances of ethical lapses.
Instances investigated by officials include a top general who lived rent-free at the home of a U.S. defense contractor after the general’s affair fell apart, and another who sent lewd Facebook messages to the wife of an enlisted soldier under his command.
The misconduct, according to the report, spreads to all branches of the military and goes back months. One investigation in February ended with a retired Air Force general being docked two stars after it was found that he coerced a junior officer into having sexual relations. Another former major general in the Army was found to have been involved in an 11-year affair that led him to “sex clubs” around the country.
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), a top critic of how the military handles sexual assault and other misconduct, reacted to the news Tuesday in a statement.
“This is another example of top (Pentagon) officials refusing to demand accountability and sweeping major ethical problems from commanders under the rug to the detriment of the men and women who serve admirably under them,” Gillibrand told USA Today.
A spokeswoman for the Pentagon said that Defense Secretary James Mattis takes allegations of misconduct “seriously.”
“Officer misconduct has and will always be taken seriously by Secretary Mattis and our senior officers who are expected to serve as exemplary leaders within the armed forces,” Pentagon spokeswoman Laura Ochoa said.
Former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, who served under President Obama, criticized the Pentagon for shuttering an office created to investigate misconduct by senior officials in 2016.
“If I would have stayed as secretary of Defense, we would not have shut that office down as soon as it was shut down,” he told USA Today.
“You also have to get your arms around the depth, the width, the scope,” he added. “Is this just the matter of a few individuals getting in trouble? Is it wider, is it deeper?”

A person driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty eastbound on Russell drove over a raised median and crashed into a Dodge pickup in oncoming traffic lanes.
The Jeep rolled over onto its roof and caught fire. Both the driver and passenger of the Jeep died at the scene. The pickup’s driver was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he died.

As I understand it now, it was just bullets fired wildly into a crowd of about 20,000 country music fans. A crowd where Sonny just happened to be with his wife, listening to music.
However, this crowd turned out to be a target of several acres in size with a 99% chance to make a hit on a human body with most every single shot fired into it.
And in this sea of carnage, Sonny was a hero right up until the bullets pierced his back and lungs and he couldn’t go on.
But my tale of heroes doesn’t end there folks, not at all. As Sonny and Heather ran away from the sniper, he always kept his own body between the danger and his wife.
A running human shield. Heather says he had his hands on her shoulders and she felt him get hit and start to fall. And even though she was only a few yards from the safety of a concrete retaining wall, she stopped and turned around to kneel by his side. She made a quick exam and yelled for help as dozens of others fell around them.
Bullets hitting the concrete so near that the resulting dust irritated her eyes. But she stayed right there and started CPR there out in the open on the cold ground in a last ditch chance to save her husband. Don’t you see, Heather is a hero also.
Protected by nothing more than the grace of God’s invisible hands, she stayed with him and I’m comforted now knowing my son didn’t have to die alone.
And that’s not all! Suddenly out of the blue came two more angels. These angels were in the form of two young concert goers who chose not to hide or run away.
These two guys braved the hell of that killing field that must have resembled the Marines landing on Omaha Beach. They ran to Sonny and Heather, picked him up and carried him all the way to their pickup truck. There, they loaded Sonny and two other victims into the bed of the truck and raced to the closest hospital. One guy driving, the other helping Heather give CPR to Sonny.
We don’t even know these guys names, they asked for no praise or reward. They just said they were sorry they couldn’t have gotten to Sonny quicker. They are heroes!
But, it just wasn’t enough. Heather cried as hope slipped away and the doctors in the ER pronounced him dead. Sonny was an ER Nurse himself. Once when I asked him why, he just smiled and in a matter of fact way said “I want to help save people’s lives”. Well, he lived up to that high standard until the very bitter end.
I know I’m not the first to feel these horrible things, like grief and loss and I’ll certainly not be the last, but I sure wish I could be. Because it hurts, man I mean it really hurts.
A few years ago, I had a really good friend who was an American Indian. (Now dead from the cancer that robbed him of life in the end) His people have a prayer that he often recited that always touched my heart.
I can’t remember it word for word, but I have repeated it often in my own words. “Please God, let me live honorably and when I take my last breath, let me die standing tall protecting my family”. I haven’t had the opportunity to finalized those words yet for me, and it may not even be in my future.
But Sonny did. He stood the final test. He was Just a good guy, doing what good guys do. He was a hero.
I truly thank our Lord that we had Sonny for these past 29 years and I like to believe I even helped him a little grow into the great young man he was.
Susan, Janie and I made the 5 hour flight to Los Vegas without a total breakdown only because of the employees of Southwest Airlines who went above and beyond to help, one flight attendant even took us by the hand to his personal car and drove us to find Heather in this strange city. I say this so that I don’t loose sight of the fact that there also good people everywhere.
My hatred of the shooter may diminish given enough time, again I’m not the first to bare this burden. But right now, that’s not an option.
As an ex cop, I share the frustration of the SWAT officer we heard about who was crying because the shooter killed himself before the cops could breach the door and take care of that ugly business themselves. Like I said, a coward.
To all the folks who have tried to call or text me or Janie or Susan, please don’t be mad if we didn’t answer. Or If I’ve misspelled words in this letter, it’s difficult to see clearly through tear filled eyes.
We are all just overwhelmed right now. Prayers for Sonny, Heather, Susan and Janie and I are appreciated beyond belief. The grief has us now firmly in its relentless grip and this evil day has lasted way too long.
Once again my prayer is to just be sleep stupid and have this sadness go away, even for just a few hours till I wake to my new, changed and darker world.

Anti-Trump forces led, in this instance, by James Murren—who is the Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International that owns the Mandalay Bay Hotel (where the Las Vegas shooter rained down his deadly fire from) and the Luxor Pyramid and Sphinx Hotel adjoining it—with Murren being a self avowed hater of President Trump, and avid supporter of Hillary Clinton—with Murren, also, living in fear that President Trump will cause his massive gambling casinos in China to fail.
Pro-Trump forces led, again in this instance, by John Malone and Greg Maffei—with Malone being the owner of the American mass media company Liberty Media, and Maffei being its CEO—and who, in 2010 created a company named Live Nation Entertainment (over the opposition of every technology giant in the US) that owns a 15 acre parcel of land directly across from the Luxor Pyramid and Sphinx Hotel and Mandalay Bay Hotel where every year, since 2014, they hold a country music festival named Route 91 Harvest—with both Malone and Maffei, also, having donated millions in support of President Trump.
This “pyramid sacrifice” upon what is called “a bastion of US traditionalism”, this report details, saw the Route 91 Harvest country music festival beginning with the popular country music group Big and Rich opening the concert by leading a sing along with concert goers and US military veterans of “God Bless America”—and when this song ended, an Hispanic woman rushed to the front of this large gathering yelling a warning stating “you’re all going to die”—but who was quickly escorted out of the concert with her as yet unidentified male companion.
45 minutes after the “you’re all going to die” warning was issued, this report continues, a fusillade of automatic weapons fire began to descend upon the estimated over 22,000 peoples attending this festival, with the first evidence that something was wrong being displayed by the performer on the stage who quickly ran off of it and the stage lights going dark—but that mysteriously came back on with floodlights bathing the massive crowd now in total panic and falling dead by the dozens. Though Stephen Paddock is not contained in any SVR database, this report continues, the same cannot be said about an Australian citizen named Marilou Danley—whom US authorities first named as a “person of interest” in this massacre—and whom is simultaneously being reported to be in Tokyo, Japan, and in the Philippines too.
SVR files on Marilou Danley as the live-in companion of Stephen Paddock, though (and verified by her LinkedIn account), this report notes, show her being employed, in 2013, by the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, located in Reno, Nevada, as a hostess catering to high-stakes international gamblers—and whom Russian intelligence experts had previously designated as a “known” FBI informant working for that American intelligence agencies Eurasian Crime Task Forces in Las Vegas to whom she reported to on Russian mafia gamblers—and whom over the past decade have entrenched themselves in this region—most especially in western Las Vegas (specifically zip code 89134) where they represent 4.87% of the population, compared with the 0.92% US national average.

I am notifying you, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Bench, that you have stained the cause of justice by refracting the rule of law for political leverage. You have subsumed the law into a lachrymose contortion that is an affront to civilized Christian norms, tenets and precepts. The hypocrisy and hubris must end unless you conscience suffers a permanent infirmity.
In your quixotic quest to subvert the law you have indulged in jurisprudential legerdemain using twisted logic and faulty reasoning as twin pillars for your ratio decidendi. There is no certainty, conformity, consistency, clarity or uniformity in your declarations, pronouncements, decisions and judgments that ultimately find refuge in some page in a tome buried in some library. The fact that it is in print does not make it right. Any layman researcher of the law will be able to see the warped and convoluted decision making parading like “settled law;” what the hell is that supposed to mean? Law settled by your myopic intellectual dishonesty?
Whether you engage in judicial activism or practice judicial restraint, the ultimate truth is that you swore an oath to uphold, defend and safeguard the laws and constitutions of the State by using your judicial office and station as explainers and appliers of the written word regardless of your take on the intention of the legislators, or pretending to be wordsmiths while you attempt to find a suitable dictionary meaning to a disputed word. You are said to be interpreters of the law. That in and of itself is a moral hazard. If you have the power to interpret which eminently translates to the power to make, create, design or carve out a new meaning to the written law. That is dangerous and you know it. Therefore, you are not interpreters of the law.
Your job is to explain and apply the law. That is the cornerstone of the doctrine of the separation of powers where one organ of the State makes the law, while the other enforces the law after it as been explained and applied to a particular set of facts or circumstances. The law may be an ass, but your pronouncements make it asinine.
You must be courageous enough to make right all the wrongs that have been perpetrated by your unjust decisions. It is incumbent upon you to remedy these grave errors of judgments. You need to be encouraged and motivated to do the needful. You must obey the law as set forth by Almighty God even if you are a deist, theist, atheist or agnostic. After all, all law, morals and ethics emanate from the Scriptures. If you don’t want to believe in a supreme being, so be it, at least, believe that you have been granted a fiduciary duty to do the right thing while arriving at a decision that is inexorably bound to affect lives.
Millions of indigenous people have been wiped off the face of decency and civilized behavior because of your faulty judgments which have caused irreparable harm and injury to these original and only lawful and legitimate landowners. You conceal the truth which is tantamount to lying by employing unnecessary semantics to get away with it. Suppressio veri suggestio falsi. The saddest part of this charade is that you suppress facts that can make a significant difference in the outcome of a particular case. You conveniently use the irrelevant, immaterial and prejudicial exit excuses to vitiate evidence.
