    Sophia

In the article, Luciferianism, I explained how Lucifer began as a haughty earthly king in Judaism, evolved into the prince and principle of evil in Christianity, and finally became an archetype for inner transformation in modern mysticism. Lucifer is a powerful symbol for the interplay of darkness and light within the soul. In a Jungian sense, Lucifer is our Shadow Self: the voice in our unconscious calling us to acknowledge the dark lagoons of our greatest fears, but in the end delivering oceans of enlightenment for those who take the odyssey of self-knowledge.

But both the modern and traditional incarnations of Lucifer likely had their genesis in the heresy known as Gnosticism—based on another rebellious figure also symbolizing the soul’s journey across the dimensions of the cosmos.

Her name is Sophia. And she has also returned as an important light-bringer for a world on the brink.

The Gnostics depicted Sophia as the personification of Divine Wisdom. She was one of the Aeons—personifications of the Mind of God that comprised the Eternal Realm. Like Lucifer, Sophia is seen as a defiant and fallen being, in some narratives likewise the font of all evil and even the manipulator of mankind for her own mercurial desires. The reasons for Sophia’s transgression against the Eternal Realm are varied and often murky; but the truth is that why Lucifer fell from Heaven is more legend and speculation than anything actually mentioned in the Bible. The commonality between Lucifer and Sophia’s expulsion does point to hubris and curiosity (an always perilous combination for the human ego, as well).

    Lucifercastingdown

(The one exception where Lucifer’s intentions are clear is found in the Koran, where he rebels at the disgust of Allah forcing the angels to bow to his newest creation, man, which certainly seems like the introduction of the ego in Creation).

Bearing in mind Sophia’s story is early than Lucifer’s, here are more of their parallels:

-They are cast into Chaos, becoming outcasts to their own kindred. Sophia’s repentance and redemption are almost assured in Gnostic chronicles, though, and only the church Father Origen proposed restitution for Lucifer, if he repented. In later traditions, Sophia encounters other mutinous Aeons (The Pistis Sophia), while Lucifer is seen as leading other fallen angels with him to Hell.

–They tower above all other divine and mundane agencies in their primordial form. The Aeon Sophia presides over angels and other spirits, while Lucifer, as an archangel in Christian tradition, does the same.

–They are known to rule chthonic domains. In the Gospel of the Egyptians, Sophia is the very ruler of Hades, while Lucifer is given an underworld empire.

–They create other godly beings that, at times, revolt against them in a sort of Karmic justice. Sophia is commonly said to have given birth to the disobedient Demiurge and his Archons, while uprisings in Hell against Lucifer are widely depicted in legend and literature.

–They are the cause of much discord in the universe, yet at the same time are seen as instruments of intellect and order. Sophia, as incarnate wisdom, instructs humanity in many Gnostic accounts, while Lucifer has been described as the godly patron of reason and science.

Throughout her book, The Gnostic Faustus, Roman Fradon connects Sophia and Lucifer,

    Sophia 2

    as seen in this passage:

“Like Lucifer, she was the jewel in Heaven’s crown, and his banishment from Heaven reflects her fall from grace. She is also associated with the ruler of Hell by way of her ignorant son, Yaldabaoth, the material god who rules his own “hellish” kingdom.”

There are, of course, many differences between Lucifer and Sophia. However, a notion of a mighty (almost supreme) being expelled from a paradise to basically control the fate of lower dimensions certainly has its foundation in Gnosticism. As in Luciferianism, it should be noted that this narrative has its taproot in Hellenistic lore, with the myths of Prometheus, Hephaestus, Phaeton, and even Hades (like with Sophia in some Gnostic texts, it is Hades’ youth that is often seen as the reason that he no longer dwells in Olympus).

And it would be the Gnostics who, once his status was cemented as the Devil, still regarded Lucifer as a more refined and dynamic figure. An example is in the Cathar movement of the Middle Ages that contended Lucifer was the actual twin of Christ, as well as the creator of the universe (and this surely harkens back to ancient Egyptian lore, where Set and Osiris are rival siblings—really two sides of the same psychic coin, the forces in the human ego seeking balance).

What makes the saga of Lucifer and Sophia so intriguing—in any era and beyond their roles of inner processes in the psyche—is the metaphysical questions they raise, even if they remain as mystic Koans of sorts. Some theologians have wondered if Sophia and Lucifer were merely necessary tools for the Divine to experience the notion of imperfection (“fall” guys, if you will).

    Others have asked these questions:

–How could a place of perfection (Heaven/The Eternal Realm) allow imperfection to arise, or is imperfection a natural state when any free will is granted?

–Did their rebellion point to the reality that complete freedom from light and darkness was the ultimate metaphysical experience?

–Is it possible that divinity can never be perfect (a concept perfectly acceptable in Paganism but frightful for most other faiths)?

–If the wisdom or reason of God can fail, is there really any hope for human works in the material world?

    Love and hate

The tale of Sophia and Lucifer may not answer these and more questions, but perhaps their union might. As two cosmic revolutionaries, their essence demands that we ask more and harder questions, dig deeper into our Heavens and Hells for answers. But this cannot happen until divine wisdom (Sophia) and fiery reason (Lucifer) are united in the sacred marriage that some have called Gnosis, within the underworld of the unconscious and above the temporal paradises of the ego.

John Milton famously wrote in Paradise Lost that Lucifer claimed, “Better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven.” Once coupled with Sophia, this seems like a false dichotomy, and a world of eternal possibility opens up when there is balance in the mind of God and man, with even the potential to save a world on the brink.

    What is a Pentagram?

wtop_logo_MEDNow, all this is diabolical in the highest degree, and is not this intuition of the symbols of a lost science something truly marvellous, for it is transcendent magic which, basing the universe on the two pillars of Hermes and Solomon, has divided the metaphysical world into two intellectual zones, one white and luminous, comprising positive ideas, the other black and opaque, including those which are negative, and which has given to the synthetic notion of the first the name of God, and to the synthesis of the second the name of the devil, or Satan.– Éliphas Lévi

Not many people are aware that there are two main types of pentagrams in the occult world with two very different meanings. One is used by the right hand path and the other by the left hand path. Once you have the completeunderstanding of the pentagram, you will be able decipher the key of the two worlds that is the illusion we live in.

In its simplest form, the pentagram represents man or woman.

The upright pentagram such as the one above and to the right is the symbol that we can say is used for good by followers of the right hand path, the divine feminine and soul. The upright person who is in control of his passions whose divine reason through their intellect, soul and spirit have risen above his or her animal and lower natures which now dominates this being who is considered like a Christ or Buddha.

It is a type of an astrological magic and good luck charm. In ancient Roman times and medieval Christian churches, the Pentagram was painted or carved on their doors to ward off evil spirits. This was also done by the Babylonians and many other ancient cultures throughout history.  It is associated with the “Druid’s-foot,” 3 pentalpha, and the the fairy-cross. Amongst the Pythagoreans (signum Pythagoricum), in the time of and after Pythagoras, a signet ring bearing the pentagram was worn by members of the Pythagorean brotherhood.

The Pentagram below is used primarily by followers of the Left Hand Path and Satanists is the inverted or upside down pentagram.

What does the upright pentagram represent?

The upright pentagram is the Morning Star, Christ or the spirit of Lucifer which is represented by spirit over matter such as the image above and the one below which shows the various elements of the five points represented in spirit, air, fire, water, and earth. It represents the power of the true divine spirit by bringing the four elements of creation into perfect balance and beautiful harmony. The early Christians referred it to the five wounds of the Savior. It is the the sign of the Microcosm or what the Kabalists of the book Sohar call Microprosopoi. It consists of a continuous line that runs from point to point and can be referred to as the “endless knot.”

It is simply one of the most powerful symbols that an initiate, adept or an occultist can use in any rite.

When the one point of the pentagram is in its proper position with the spirit pointing up, it is a sign of  Christ or Christ like spirit, AKA illuminate or enlightened being is figurative of the human body, with four limbs and a single point, which should represent the head.. Five was considered the number of dominion by knowledge. The pentagram, or Solomon’s seal, was its symbol, and theGnostic schools adopted it as their crest.

The star of the microcosm, or the magic Pentagram, that star wherein the human figure was sketched by Agrippa, with the head in the ascending point and the four members in the four other points – Eliphas Levi

The symbol of man, who has five senses, five members,—head and four limbs, —five fingers, etc.

Such as the symbol of the cross when upright is the sign of Christ or enlightened man as well.

The Kabalists call it Pentaculnm Salomonis which is Latin for pentagram. An upright pentagram to the occultist in this position as indicated above can have powerful effects especially against evil spirits. Its efficacy undoubtedly sprang from the circumstance that it resolves itself into three triangles, and is thus a triple symbol of the Trinity. Paracelsus ascribes a similar, though a lesser, degree of virtue to the hexagram.

Pentagram. From the Greek pente, five, and gramma, a letter. ‘

In the science of magic the pentalpna is called the holy and mysterious pentagram. Eliphas Levi says (Dog. el Rilucl de la Haute Magie, ii., 55) that the pentagram is the star of the Magians; it is the sign of the word made flesh; and according to the direction of its rays, that is, as it points upward with one point or with two, it represents the good or the evil principle, order or disorder; the blessed lamb of Ormuzd and of St. John, or the accursed god of Mendes; initiation or profanation; Lucifer or Vesper; the morning or the evening star; Mary or Lilith; victory or death; light or darkness. (See Pentalpka.)

Pentalpna. The triple triangle, or the pentalpha of Pythagoras, is so called from the Greek Tots, pente, five, and aAntiochus Epiphanes, and a writer in Notes and Queries (3 Ser., ix., 511) says that he has found it on the coins of Lysimmachus. On old British and Gaulish coins it is often seen beneath the feet of the sacred and mythical horse, which was the ensign of the ancient Saxons. The Druids wore it on their sandals as a symbol of Deity, and hence the Germans call the figure ” Druttenfuss,” a word originally signifying Druid’s foot, but which, in the gradual corruptions of language, is now made to mean Witche’s foot.

What does the inverted pentagram represent?

The Pentagram, with two horns in the ascendant, represents Satan, or the goat of the Sabbath, and with the single horn in the ascendant it is the sign of the Saviour. It is the figure of the human body with the four members and a point representing the head; a human figure head downward naturally represents the demon, that is, intellectual subversion, disorder, and folly. – Éliphas Lévi,

As I stated above, the  inverted or upside down pentagram is used primarily by followers of the Left Hand Path and Satanists. This is the pentagram with two points in the ascendant position, or pointed down which subjects the spirit to the governance of matter. This means that the desires of the flesh are put before that of the divine spirit and soul. It is the “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,” that Aleister Crowley had taught.

The mysteries of magic by Éliphas Lévi, Arthur Edward Waite

the Burning Star which, when inverted, is the hieroglyphic sign of the goat of black magic whose head can then be sketched in the star with the two horns above, the ears on the right and left, and the beard below, sign of antagonism and blind fatality, the goat of lewdness assaulting heaven with its horns, a sign execrated even in the Sabbath by initiates of a superior order.

Fatality alone exists, God and spirit do not exist. Matter is the grand totality, spirit the dream of demented matter. The form is more than the idea, the woman more than the man, pleasure more than thought, vice more than virtue, the multitude greater than its chiefs, children above their fathers, and madness more than reason.’”

This “Magic Circle” was the precursor of the Church of Satan, a rationalist cult of self–gratification, personal power and success. The Church of Satan which is a rationalist cult of self-gratification, personal power and , founded in 1966 in America,by LaVeywho used an inverted pentagram on a circular field with a goat’s head superimposed over it as a symbol of the Church that he founded.

The Nine Satanic Statements outline what “Satan” represents in the Church of Satan:

    1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence.
    2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams.
    3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit.
    4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates.
    5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek.
    6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires.
    7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development”, has become the most vicious animal of all.
    8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification.
    9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years.

I simply do not follow or agree with the teachings of the Church of Satan, Crowley or that of the Left Hand Path.

My ancestors are that of the Pythagoras. My path is the Rite One which is that of Christ or the morning star.

What is your path or what star do you choose as your guide down your path in this incarnation?

This is not up to me to decide for you, but your free will choice. My goal is to just educate you on the differences between the two very different brotherhoods. My path is that of the the original brotherhood under Pythagoras who are followers of the Right Hand Path that use the upright pentagram which will increase your true life divine energy. The inverted pentagram reverses our true nature to drain the life energy from our souls. The upright pentagram represents the spirit, Lucifer or Christ and the light. The inverted pentagram signifies the material world, flesh, darkness, chaos and Satanism.

I AM just going to finish this article with some open source research materials by some great authors who have already explained the uses of the pentagram very well in the past.

Lucian of Samosata, Volume 2  By Lucian (of Samosata.), Christoph Martin Wieland

The divine Pythagoras, though he has not been pleased to leave to posterity any written memorial of his doctrines and opinions; yet, as far as can be gathered from Ocellus Lucanus, Archytas, and others of his followers, did not use the formulary eu prattein, but insisted upon beginning with the word hygiainein [to be well] in place of it. Accordingly those of his school, in the letters of any consequence which they write to one another, begin with this wish as the best adapted both to the body and mind, and comprising in the single word Health all that is good for man. Thence their triple triangle, or pentagram *, one of the private signs by which the pythagoreans recognize one another, is in their symbolical language styled Hygeia [Health], According to them, in the notion of health is comprised at once to live well, and to rejoice: but not contrariwise t. There are pythagoreans (the celebrated Philolaus was one of them) who call the tetraktys [the number /owr], their most solemn oath, which according to their arithmetic, forms the perfect number, the principle of health.

    * This pentagram, likewise called pentalpha, is the famous figure which arises, when all the sides of a regular pentagon are prolonged till they intersect one another. As this figure unites in itself the mystery of the holy number, it was one of the principal symbols of the pythagoric order, of which the more modern secret societies did not fail to avail themselves. The pythagoreans (says the vossian scholiast of Lucian) put his mark, instead of the ordinary greeting, at the head of their epistles. This superstition was retained both among jews and Christians. In Upper Germany this pentagon is named den Drulden fuss, by corruption Dntdenfuss. Vid. Keysler, Antiquitt. Septemtr. p. 503. Quia nummus TlJotmlm, quern cl. Gesnerus ei Havercampo hucrefert, eandemjiguram habet, qua supra jam destripta est, idea minimum ipsum hie non exhibemus. Reitz.

    The mysteries of magic: a digest of the writings of Eliphas Lévi;

Now, if magic be a reality, if this secret science be the true law of the three worlds, this absolute sign, this sign as old as and older than history, should and must actually exercise . an incalculable influence on souls disengaged from their material envelope. Armed therewith and suitably disposed, we can behold infinity through the medium of that faculty which is as the Soul’s Eye, and can cause ourselves to be served by legions of angels and by demon hordes. The empire of the will over the Astral Light, which is the physical soul of the four elements, is represented in magic by the Pentagram. That which was used by the author in his evocation at London, scientifically perfected, is that which is engraved at the beginning of this chapter, and it is not to be found so complete either in the clavicles of Solomon or in the magic calendars of Tycho-Brahe and Duchenteau. If it be asked how a sign can exercise that immense power over spirits which is claimed for the Pentagram, we inquire in turn why the Christian world bows before the sign of the Cross. The sign by itself is nothing, it derives strength from the doctrine it resumes, and of which it is the Logos. Now, a sign which epitomizes by signification all the occult forces of Nature, and which has always manifested to elementary and other spirits a power superior to their own, naturally strikes them with fear and respect, and enforces their obedience by the empire of knowledge and will over ignorance and weakness.

The -sign of the Pentagram is called also the sign of the Microcosm, and it represents what the Kabbalists of the Sohar term the Microprosopus. Its complete comprehension is the key of the two worlds—it is absolute natural philosophy and natural science. Its use, however, is most dangerous to operators who do not completely and perfectly understand it. It should be composed of seven metals, or at any rate be graved in pure gold on white marble, but it may be also designed in vermilion on a lambskin free from every defect and stain, this being the symbol of integrity and light. The marble should be virgin, that is, should never have been previously used; the lambskin should be prepared under the auspices of the sun. The lamb should have been killed in Paschal time with a new knife, and the skin must have been salted with salt consecrated by magical ceremonies. Negligence in even one of these difficult and, at first sight, arbitrary observances completely stultifies the great operations of science. The Pentagram is consecrated with the four elements; the magic figure is breathed on five times, it is sprinkled with consecrated water, and dried by the smoke of five perfumes, namely, incense, myrrh, aloes, sulphur, and camphor, with which a little white resin and ambergris may be mixed; then we must breathe five times, pronouncing the names of the five genii, who are Gabriel, Raphael, Anael, Samael, and Oriphiel; the pantacle must be subsequently laid on the earth and turned towards the north, south, east, and west, and to the centre of the astronomical cross, pronouncing the letters of the sacred Tetragram one after another. Finally, we must repeat softly the blessed names Aleph and the mysterious Thau, united in the kabbalistic name of Azoth.

The Pentagram must be placed on the altar of perfumes and on’the tripod of evocations. The operator must also wear one about his person, with the figure of the Macrocosm, that is, the six-pointed star composed of two interlaced triangles. When a spirit of light is to be evoked, the head of the star, that is, one of its points, must be turned towards the tripod of evocation, and the two lower points towards the altar of perfumes. The reverse is to be done where a spirit of darkness is concerned, but, in this case, the operator must be careful to hold the end of the rod or the point of the sword towards the top of the Pentagram. We have said already that signs are the active voice of the will. Now the will must produce its voice perfectly in order to transform it into action; and a single negligence, representing a useless word or a doubt, stamps every operation with falsehood and inefficacy, and turns back all the vainly expended energies on the operator. Magical ceremonial must, therefore, be absolutely abstained from, or scrupulously and exactly accomplished in everything. The Pentagram graved in luminous lines on glass by means of the electrical machine also exercises a great influence on spirits and terrifies them. It was traced by the old magicians on the threshold of the door, to prevent evil spirits from entering and good ones from going out. This restraint resulted from the direction of the star’s points. Two points on the outside repelled the evil, two on the inside detained them captive, one point only on the inner side captivated the good spirits. All these magical theorems, based on the unique dogma of Hermes, and on the analogical inductions of science, have been invariably confirmed by the visions of ecstatics and by the convulsions of cataleptics under the supposed possession of spirits. The G which Freemasons place in the centre of the Burning Star signifies Gnosis and Generation, the two sacred words of the ancient Kabbalah. It also signifies Grand Architect, for the Pentagram, from whatever side it may be looked at, always represents an A. By placing it in such a manner that two of its points are above and only one below, we may see the horns, ears, and beard of the hieratic goat of Mendes, when it becomes the sign of infernal evocations.

The allegorical star of the Magi is nothing else, as we have said, than the mysterious Pentagram; and these three kings, children of Zoroaster, conducted by the Burning Star to the cradle of the microcosmic God, would”, be sufficient to prove the wholly kabbalistic and truly magical origines of Christian doctrine. One of these kings is black, another white, the third brown; the white king offers gold, symbol of life and light; the black myrrh, image of death and darkness; the brown presents incense, emblematic of the divinity of the conciliating dogma of the duadic cause; then they return into their own country by another road, to show that a new cultus is but a new path which leads humanity to the one and only religion, which is that of the sacred triad and the shining Pentagram, the sole eternal Catholicism. In the Apocalypse, St John beholds this same star fall from heaven to earth; it is then called absynth or bitterness, and all the waters of the sea become bitter—striking image of the materialisation of dogma, which produces the fanaticism and arid sourness of controversy. It is to Christianity itself that the words of Isaiah may be then addressed—” How art thou fallen from heaven, bright star, which wert so splendid in the morning?” But the Pentagram, profaned though it be by men, shines unclouded for ever in the right hand of the Word of truth, and the inspired voice promises to whomsoever shall conquer, that he will give him the morning star—a solemn restitution held out to the star of Lucifer.

As will be seen, all mysteries of magic, all symbols of the gnosis, all figures of occultism, all kabbalistic keys of prophecy, are resumed in the sign of the Pentagram, which Paracelsus proclaims to be the greatest and most potent of all. Must we be astonished after this at the real influence exercised by this sign on the intelligences of every hierarchy? Those who brave the sign of the Cross shudder at the aspect of the Star of the Microcosm. The Magus, on the contrary, when he feels his will grow weak, casts his eyes on that symbol, takes it in his right hand, and feels himself to be armed with intellectual omnipotence, provided that he is truly a king worthy to be conducted by the star to the cradle of divine realisation; provided he knows, dares, wills, and can hold his peace; provided he understands the uses of the pantacle, cup, wand, and sword; provided, lastly, that the intrepid glances of his soul correspond to those two eyes which the upper ray of the Pentagram always presents to him open.

The intelligence of the wise man gives value to his pantacle, as his knowledge gives weight to his will, and spirits comprehending this power are at once subject to the sign when intelligently used. Let us briefly explain this marvel. All created spirits communicate with each other by means of signs, and all adhere to a certain number of truths expressed by certain determined forms, whose perfection increases in proportion to the detachment of the spirits, those who are not weighted by the chains of matter recognising by the first intuition whether a sign is the expression of a true power or of an imprudent will. Thus by the Pentagram spirits may be forced to appear in dream, either during the waking state or in sleep, by bringing themselves before our Diaphane their own reflection which exists in the Astral Light, if they have lived, or a reflection analogous to their spiritual Logos if they have not lived on earth. This explains all visions, and, more than all, shows why the dead invariably appear to seers either as they were on earth, or as they still are in the tomb, but never as they exist in .the life which escapes the perceptions of our present envelope.

Women with child are more than others under the influence of the Astral Light, which concurs in the formation of the infant, and unceasingly presents to them the reminiscences of the forms with which it is replete. It is thus that the most virtuous women sometimes deceive the malice of observers by equivocal resemblances; they frequently impress on the fruit of their marriage an image which strikes them in a dream, and it is thus that the same physiognomies are perpetuated from generation to generation. The kabbalistic use of the Pentagram may then determine the appearance of the child to be born, and an initiated woman could give her son the features of Nero or Achilles, as much as those of Louis XIV. or of Napoleon.

    [graphic]

    Solomon’s Seal.

The double triangle of Solomon, forming the six-pointed star, is the sign of the Macrocosmos, but it is less powerful than the Pentagram, the microcosmic sign. It is represented in the following manner :—

The double triangle of Solomon is explained by St John in a remarkable way. He says, ” There are three who give testimony in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost . . .; and there are three which give testimony on earth, the spirit, the water, and the blood.” St John is thus in accordance with the masters of Hermetic philosophy, who give to their sulphur the name of ether, to their mercury the name of philosophic water, and to their salt the qualification of the dragon’s blood, or menstruum of the earth. The blood or salt corresponds by opposition with the Father, the azotic or mercurial water with the Word or Logos, and the breath or spirit with the Holy Ghost—but the things of transcendental symbolism cannot be properly understood except by the true children of science.

Independently of these signs, the ancients made use, when evoking, of mystical combinations of the Divine names. The magic triangle of pagan theosophists is the celebrated Abracadabra, to which they attributed extraordinary virtues, and which they represented thus:—

    ABRACADABRA

    ABRACADABR

    AB RACADA B

    ABRACADA

    A BRA CA D

    A B R A C A

    A B R A C

    A B R A

    A B R

    AB

    A

This combination of letters is a key of the Pentagram. The initial A is repeated five times and reproduced thirty times. The isolated A represents the unity of the first cause or of the intelligent, active agent. A united to B represents the fertilization of the duad by unity. R is the sign of the triad, because it hieroglyphically represents the effusion resulting from the union of the two principles. The number II of the letters of the word adds the unity of the initiate to the denary of Pythagoras, and the number 66, the total of the added letters, forms kabbalistically the number 12, which is the square of the triad,* and consequently the mystical quadrature of the circle. We may remark in passing that the author of the Apocalypse, that clavicle of the Christian Kabbala, has composed the numher of the beast, that is, of idolatry, by adding a 6 to the double senary of the ABRACADABRA, which gives kabbalistically the number 18, assigned in the Tarotto the hieroglyphic symbol of the night of the uninitiated, the moon with the towers, the dog, wolf, and crab (the sceptic, the blind believer, and the enemy of progress),—a mysterious and obscure number, whose kabbalistic Key is 9, that of initiation. On this subject the sacred Kabbalist expressly says: “He that hath understanding (that is, the key of the kabbalistic numbers), let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and the number of it is 666. It is, in fact, the decade of Pythagoras multiplied by itself and added to the sum of the triangular pantacle Abracadabra; it is therefore the epitome of all the magic of the ancient world, the entire programme of human genius, which the Divine Genius of the Gospel sought to absorb and supplant.

    * Surely the square of the triad is 9! 12 is the triad multiplied by the tetrad.—Tr.

These hieroglyphical combinations of letters and numbers belong to the practical part of the Kabbalah. Such calculations, which now seem to us arbitrary or dry, belonged to oriental philosophical symbolism, and were of the greatest importance in the teaching of sacred things emanating from the secret sciences. The absolute kabbalistic alphabet, which connected primitive ideas with allegories, allegories with letters, letters with numbers, was what was then called the Keys of Solomon, preserved, though completely misunderstood, in the game of Tarot, whose antique symbols were noticed and appreciated for the first time, in our own days, by the erudite archaeologist, Court de Gebelin.

Science and key of life: planetary influences, Volume 5

The most perfect alembic which can elaborate the quintessence corresponds to this symbol, and the essence itself is symbolized by the sign of the pentagram. The athanar of nature is the body of man, while the pentagram is the microsmic sign or seal. The five points of the pentagram represent the five reciprocal points of projection in the human body, that is, the head, the hands and feet, and from these points, streams of vital force are constantly irradiating from four great centers of energy, that is, the heart, the brain, the spleen and the generative organs, while in addition, a receptive centre known as the solar plexus exists. Now the pentagram, sometimes termed the flaming star of Hijos, is one of the most perfect of pentacles. Its symbolism is extensive, but all such tends to the primordial idea of the quarternary joined with ninety. Thus the pentagram represents man, and it is frofn this point of view that we can best analyze it. We may consider that the upper point represents the head, the two points on the left and right, the arms, the two lower joints, the limbs and feet, all in correspondence with the head. At the same time the five points represent the five physical senses. Now the pentagram with the point above indicates the individual in whom the will commands the passions, in whom reason dominates the lower animal instincts, and in whom spirit dominates the body or matter. On the other hand the pentagram with the point turned downward is the same symbol with the cross turned upside down. It is the individual in whom the passions thwart the will, the passive man without initiative, the man dominated by human and superhuman forces, the media, the materialization of spirit, the domination of reason by the senses, of ideas by instinct, etc.

It will be observed that sensation consists in the mental reception through the nervous system of a knowledge or evidence of certain conditions. It is in reality a faculty of the soul whereby it perceives all external objects through the media of some action or impression made on the specific parts of the physical body, and termed the organs of sense and propagated by them to the sensary. Thus it will be observed that the soul is closely associated and connected with part of the brain, wherein the nerves of all the organs of sense terminate, and it is here that it perceives all the changes that occur with regard to objects that cause them or that have been used to cause them, and that it perceives that which passes out of this part by the mediation of the fibres terminating it. Thus beholding the relationship existing between a thinking subject and a cognized object, we may note first that the object appeals to the intelligence through the media of the senses which ever modify it.

  • Who is Lucifer?

    Who is Lucifer?

wtop_logo_MEDWhen Carl Sagan had famously said that“we’re made of star stuff,” he wasn’t joking because the facts are that the cosmos are hidden within all of us humans. We are the SO BELOW here on earth in which the cosmos and heavens are the AS ABOVE.

Albert Pike, 33rd Degree Freemason and Sovereign Grand Commander of the Scottish Rite said; “Lucifer the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendours intolerable blinds feeble sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not! “And one of Freemasonry’s greatest philosophers that has ever lived, 33rd Degree Freemason and master Rosicrucian Manly P. Hall said this about Lucifer in his book, All Seeing Eye; “Lucifer represents the individual intellect and will which rebels against the domination of Nature and attempts to maintain itself contrary to natural impulse. Lucifer, in the form of Venus, is the morning star spoken of in Revelation, which is to be given to those who overcome the world.”

Many people mistakenly think that Lucifer is Satan and vice versa, but the facts are that is simply not true. This misinformation, conspiracies and lies have been propagated to the people through many books and movies to the point today in this year 2013, that most people equate Lucifer with Satan or evil. Hopefully you have an open mind and will get past this propaganda like I did myself, in order for you to discover the truth. I AM sure this is the case or else most likely you wouldn’t be reading this website.

If you are asking the question, “Who is Lucifer?,” the answer that you will find often depends on who you ask or where you perform your search. But the facts are that if you were to research the true meaning of Lucifer that is somewhat hidden in secret societies such as Freemasonry, you would find that some of the world’s most prolific 33rd Degree Freemasons have already established the meaning of Lucifer, that they have written about in their books on the occult. The word “occult” simply means hidden, which is the whole point of the misinformation that you will find on the true meaning of Lucifer. In addition, if you know where to look, the true definition of Lucifer along with corresponding information is now common knowledge on Wikipedia. However, due to countless publications of misinformation via articles, books and videos all over Youtube; the truth is still buried beneath a pile of ignorance.

Therefor, for us smart researchers, we have come to understand this simple fact: That in order to find the light, we have to uncover the truth which is buried at the bottom of these lies and hundreds of years of church, government and ignorant human propaganda. The real story of Lucifer is no different. We have to perform some fact checking of our own like you are doing right now, so that we all can get to the bottom of this disinformation in order to get to the light of the truth.

This article will do just that for you, by helping clear the lies in order for you to see the light of Lucifer for what he truly represents.

Jesus morning starIn the occult, Lucifer is often referred to as the ‘morning star.’ In the Bible, you will find this same exact reference to Jesus as well who says in Revelation 22:16 – “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” You see, just as Lucifer is known as the morning star, Jesus also calls himself ‘the bright morning star’ and as I stated above, Manly P. Hall had said, “Lucifer, in the form of Venus, is the morning star spoken of in Revelation, which is to be given to those who overcome the world.”  Hence, rest assured that Jesus and Lucifer are one and the same which will become clearly evident to those with an eye to see the true light amongst the darkness in which we live.

The reason that both Lucifer and Jesus can be considered one and the same is because of an often little understood chemical compound that is hidden within each of our own DNA called ‘Phosphorus.’ Phosphorus is essential for life and the phosphate is a component of DNA, RNA, ATP, and also the phospholipids that form all cell membranes. Simply put, without phosphorus, we humans would simply not be human because consciousness and our spiritual energy would not exist. It is through our DNA which contains phosphorus, that we become conscious to the world and who we are in order to live in the light. Hence, Lucifer is really just an allegory to describe ‘Phosphorus’ which resides in our DNA.

The literal meaning of phosphorus (Phosp-Horus = Lucifer) is “Light-Bringer.”Horus winged sun

Here is the definition that you will find on Wikipedia; Phosphorus (Greek Φωσφόρος Phōsphoros), a name meaning “Light-Bringer”, is the Morning Star, the planet Venus in its morning appearance. Another Greek name for the Morning Star is Ἑωσφόρος (Heōsphoros), which means “Dawn-Bringer”. The Latin word corresponding to Greek Phosphorus is “Lucifer”. It is used in its astronomical sense both in prose and poetry. The Latin word lucifer, corresponding to, was used as a name for the morning star and thus appeared in the Vulgate translation of the Hebrew word הֵילֵל (helel) – meaning Venus as the brilliant, bright or shining one – in Isaiah 14:12, where the Septuagint Greek version uses, not Φωσφόρος, but Ἑωσφόρος.

origins of freemasonryVenus is the brightest morning “star” and is currently the focal point of the eastern dawn sky. This would be the reason why you will find that all Freemason Lodges face the north and south, but when you walk into the lodge room, you’re symbolically facing the East and all masonic rituals are performed while facing the East in preparation of the son of the morning via the dawn of a new day under the light of the morning star.

Manly P. Hall writes in his book, Initiates of the Flame: “It is said that in ancient times the Sphinx was the gateway of the Pyramid, and that there was an underground passage which led from the Sphinx to Cheops (Great Pyramid)” (Initiates of the Flame, p. 68).  The Sphinx symbolizes man. The Sphinx again symbolizes man, with the mind and spirit of the human rising out of the animal desires and emotions. It is the riddle of the ages, and man is once more the answer. The four fixed signs of which the Sphinx is a symbol are Taurus the Bull, Leo the Lion, Scorpio the Eagle, and Aquarius the Man, or the human head.

So, how can Lucifer be the the prince of darkness, when it has been established that Lucifer is really phosphorus, which a derived from a Greek name meaning “Light-Bringer?”

The facts are that is he is not the prince of darkness or Satan because Lucifer is really phosphorus that resides in our DNA. Once you understand this reality that is science based, you will then have one of the secret keys to the mysteries of the universe.

The light within each one of us humans is where we find Lucifer or Jesus, AKA the morning star.sphynxeyeHence, KNOW THYSELF and KNOW GOD. In ancient Egypt is was said; “The body is the house of God,” and one of the many proverbs is “Man, know thyself … and thou shalt know the gods,” and what Manly P. Hall called Aquarius the Man, or the human head represented by the Egyptian Sphinx. When we KNOW THYSELF, we carry the water of Aquarius the Man and thus become Lion Kings of our own domain which the Egyptians had represented with the figure of a sphinx (Greek: Σφίγξ /sphinx, Bœotian: Φίξ /Phix) is a mythical creature with, as a minimum, the body of a lion and the head of a human.

Unfortunately, with the advent of certain religions such as Christianity and Islam along with other government controls on the people, these ancient gnostic teachings were corrupted, modified or simply hidden from the multitudes of people because they are or were at one time very dangerous to the church and or government. These authoritarian institutions operate primarily on the basis of having a master that is outside of you dictating your life, souls and spirit at every step, and they would rather “tell you who you are, where you come from and where you will be going,” rather than us humans being unique individuals who “know thyself … and thou shalt know the gods.” The facts are that a person who KNOWS THYSELF and KNOWS GOD, is very hard to control by the powers that be because they loose their grip on this persons soul once they figure out “the game” which from day one has been an attempt to trick or steal us all out of our true beings, souls and spirits. Hence, the reason why there are all these lies and propaganda surrounding the name Lucifer.

lucifer 1Lucifer represents the angel of light with individual intellect who ‘rebels’ against the outside ‘dark authority’. This is why he is called the ‘fallen angel.’ The dark and outside authority can be attributed to our flesh and fleshly desires coupled with the outside material world that attempts to take us away from the true light within each one of us. This darkness tries to fool us into looking without when we should have always been looking within the whole time. Hence, this is the whole illusion of the matrix in which Satan, the true prince of darkness that represents the flesh and free will is looking to control you, so you do not look within yourself for the “prince of light” or “the morning star.”

The reference to the Venus is the AS ABOVE of which Lucifer, AKA Phosphorus is the AS BELOW.

The facts are that we are made of stardust” or star debris and are therefore “one with the universe.” This is where we get the AS ABOVE, in the SO BELOW and the AS WITHIN , of the AS WITHOUT. It is that star dust hidden inside you in the form of Phosphorus, which I have already stated is essential for life. The phosphate is a component of DNA, RNA, ATP, and also the phospholipids that form all cell membranes. This is the ‘spark’ in our DNA that makes us human. Lucifer is in all of us in the form of Phosphorus.

This may be where our souls access our divine consciousness and thus we become divine like Saint John or a Christ like Jesus. Or is this what the church calls evil in Lucifer because a conscious soul and spirit is a dangerous one and maybe that is why Jesus was crucified?

    fall of lucifer

What is the fall of Lucifer?I

It is an allegory of the light that resides in us and the fall is simply the fall away from this light. With the advent of most religions, this caused the fall of mankind. A fall away from the light within us that was then exchanged or forced by a false light that that was to be found outside of ourselves within a book or church. Hence, the fall of Lucifer is the fall that each one of us takes when we look outside for answers as opposed to looking within for the true light, that which will guide us to the promise land or own own personal heavens.

As I stated above, Lucifer and the Morning Star are references to Phosphorus which is essential for life. Without phosphorus, consciousness, energy and the creation of this article would simply not be happening. When we turn away from this light within, we too fall away from grace. Hence, we fall for lies and truth in which we then become one of Satan’s tools that is represented by the planet Saturn. However, that will be a new article in itself.

Whether you choose to believe what I AM stating here and by confirming what I have written and quoted above, is entirely up to you because this is your path where you have to decide truth from fiction or light from dark on your own. However, if you have not done your own research and you have already reached an ignorant conclusion based on heresay or lies, then you are what Mr. Pike calls intolerable blinds feeble sensual, or selfish souls, in which you are one of the billions of Satan’s weak human tools. A soul who chooses darkness rather than light and an unawakened human who worships lies over truth, where ignorance rules your actions over that of true wisdom.

Hence, another brick in the wall…….

    Albert Pike’s full quote of Lucifer in his famous book, Morals and Dogma on page 321;

    albert-pike on lucifer

albert-pike“The Apocalypse is, to those who receive the nineteenth degree, the Apotheosis of that Sublime Faith which aspires to God alone, and despises all the pomps and works of Lucifer. Lucifer. The Light Bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendours intolerable blinds feeble sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not! For traditions are full of Divine Revelations and Inspirations: and Inspiration is not of one Age nor of one Creed Plato and Philo also, were also inspired.”

  • Demons Who Feed On Human Energy

    Demons and angels

Man has no free will at the present time, but merely the power of choice over a certain area of incidents brought, by his ever, growing consciousness within the scope of his comprehension.” – 33rd Degree Freemason, Manly P. Hall

Not many people are aware that there is an unseen world that surrounds each one of us which we cannot touch, or see with our own two eyes. A world that escapes our vision, but is at play in everything we do. Some people call it the spirit world, elemental world, astral plane, or the supernatural.

This unseen world actually influences our destinies, to the point that some adepts such as Manly P. Hall claim that we do not simply have free will. Sure, we can make simple day-to-day choices, but our future may already be predetermined, and our paths being led by supernatural entities that are often called demons, angels, elementals, and or parasites. Some of them being good, and many more being bad.

Many of the world’s leading authorities on spirituality and the occult confirm these facts.

The Swiss Hermes, Paracelsus von Hohenheim (1490-1541) once said, “I got into Meditation because I was inhibited. Turns out I was inhabited!” What Paracelsus was hinting to was the fact that we are not alone in our bodies, and on our path we call life. He had identified them as harmful parasitic organisms that feed off human energies.

Many of us humans create and attract these unseen bad creatures through our thoughts and actions. These creatures then feed on our flesh, blood, semen and energies.

If our parents were who could be called sinners, immoral or unethical, they pass along these creatures to us in the womb. As it is said, “God’s punishment as owing to both the sins of the fathers and the sins of the children, ” or “the apple doesn’t fall too from the tree.”

If we sons and daughters which are born in sin do not correct these inequities against the natural laws which govern us, we become but born again de facto Satanists prone to serve the darkness throughout our lives. Millions upon millions of dark beings procreating their seeds and thus creating the evil world we see around us at the very moment. They fill every rank of our society from the highest to the lowest offices. This is why we currently have an epidemic of war, violence, mental illness and disease in our world.

How you have thought, lived and sinned, will determine the entities that are attached to you at this very moment. The very unseen entities that may be driving you sad or mad.

Manly P. Hall had called them “strange creatures of other planes.” “Creatures,” who he said. “many of us would be frightened to death of if we could actually see them. Hall said, “we seldom realize that our passions and hates create these demonical beings in the superphysical world, but this is one of the secrets to black magic. Every evil or debased thought and emotion of man helps build these tearing, rending creatures, the innate qualities of which become in the hands of those who know, agencies for the destruction of light. It also seems part of plan, that those who chain these demons shall themselves fall victims to their own slaves, for one after another, the black magicians are sucked into a maelstrom of the astral hell.”

    incubus

These creatures Hall speaks of are sometimes referred to as in Latin, Incubus andSuccubus, and in English it is named the “Mare.” Male and female parasites. They were said by the Church Fathers such as Saint Augustine and Saint Thomas, to be spirits that trouble both men and women when they sleep. The spawns of the pagan gods which are called devils.

The Platonist associated them with the Telchines of Crete who I have written about many times before. Some people held that Merlin was begotten of his mother by a spirit named Incubus.(1) In Shakespeare’s Tempest, he gives Caliban Arch-Incubus as his sire.

In Thomas Middleton, A mad world my masters, Act iv. (in Dodsley’s Old Plays, Vol. v. p. 329.) a man is addressed by a Succubus:

Have I this season wrought with cunning,
Which, when I come, I find thee shunning?
When was place and season sweeter?
Thy bliss in sight, and dar’st not meet her?(2)

    Manly P. Hall had written in the Secret Teachings of All Ages;

“The terms incubus and succubus have been applied indiscriminately by the Church Fathers to elementals. The incubus and succubus, however, are evil and unnatural creations, whereas elementals is a collective term for all the inhabitants of the four elemental essences.

According to Paracelsus, the incubus and succubus (which are male and female respectively) are parasitical creatures subsisting upon the evil thoughts and emotions of the astral body. These terms are also applied to the superphysical organisms of sorcerers and black magicians. While these larvæ are in no sense imaginary beings, they are, nevertheless, the offspring of the imagination. By the ancient sages they were recognized as the invisible cause of vice because they hover in the ethers surrounding the morally weak, and continually incite them to excesses of a degrading nature.

For this reason they frequent the atmosphere of the dope den, the dive, and the brothel, where they attach themselves to those unfortunates who have given themselves up to iniquity. By permitting his senses to become deadened through indulgence in habit-forming drugs or alcoholic stimulants, the individual becomes temporarily en rapport with these denizens of the astral plane. The houris seen by the hasheesh or opium addict and the lurid monsters which torment the victim of delirium tremens are examples of submundane beings, visible only to those whose evil practices are the magnet for their attraction.”

Frantz Hartman had said this about on Incubus and Succubus:

“Incubus and Succubus.—Male and female parasites growing out of the astral elements of man or woman in consequence of a lewd imagination. 2. Astral forms of dead persons (Elementaries), being consciously or instinctively attracted to such persons, manifesting their presence in tangible if not visible forms, and having carnal intercourse with their victims. 3. The astral bodies of sorcerers and witches visiting men or women for immoral purposes. The Incubus is male, and the Succubus female.”(3)

  • The Statue of Liberty (Isis)

    The Statue of Liberty (Isis)

wtop_logo_MEDThe Statue of Isis was first known as Liberty Enlightening the World, but is now more commonly called, the “Statue of Liberty.” However,  we must ask ourselves, “Is she truly enlightening the world, or is she actually the Goddess who keeps our illumination in the shadows as she holds the light above in her torch, only to hide the truth from the profane (uninitiated) of the abyss (sea of humanity) who are kept in the dark?”

A secret that keeps most of the population of the United States in complete ignorance as they are cast under the wicked spell of Isis. A Goddess of both Heaven and Hell.

    Symbols statue of liberty sunrise

The world-famous statue is located in the New York harbor, and was presented as a gift in the year 1884 from French Freemasons of the Grand Orient to their Mason Bro’s in the United States. The statue was designed by well-known French Freemasons, sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, displaying the Hidden Hand of Freemasonry in the image below and Engineer, Gustave Eiffel (A.G. Eiffel).

SYMBOLISM OF THE STATUE OF LIBERTY (ISIS)

The Statue of Isis sits on a tiny island called ‘Minnisais,’ meaning in the Indian language, “small island”; and her foundation is an 11-pointed star. The most sacred numbers of the occult are: 3, 6, 9, 11, 13, and multiples thereof, especially 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77. When you multiply number 11 by the perfect number 3, you get the number 33. As most of us all know, 33 is a Master Number (Master Teacher), that is the the numerical equivalent of AMEN: 1+13+5+14=33. Amen is the God of Truth and the 33 represents Christ consciousness.

However, you will quickly find out that the number eleven is far from the number 33 and Christ consciousness. For example, the number 11 exceeds number ten, which is the number of the ten-commandments of Moses, and it falls short of the number Twelve, which is of grace and perfection. 11 correlates with the letter K, which represents the Kether (crown). Here are are 10 qlippa that are opposite the 10 sephiroth; where the 11 comes in is at Thaumiel which is the “twin gods”, representing duality in place of Kether’s, meaning “crown” or “topmost” of the Sephirot, and the “regal crown” of the Sephirot.

The number 11 is represented in the eleven pointed star that the Statue of Liberty sits on which is called a hendecagram, it represents the Qliphoth. This literally means “Peels”, “Shells” or “Husks” of the Tree of Knowledge. In Jewish Kabbalistic cosmology, the Kelipot are metaphorical “shells” surrounding holiness. They are spiritual obstacles receiving their existence from God, only in an external, rather than internal manner. Isis not only holds the light above humanity, but she also is the Goddess of duality, who represents evil or impure spiritual forces.

This eleven pointed star and the number 11 are the representation of evil or impure spiritual forces in Jewish mysticism, which is adverse to the Sephiroth of the Tree of Life in the Qabbalah. Hence, Isis is the spiritual obstacle and Goddess keeping humanity from knowing THYSELF or Gnosis. Please also note that the {11/2} star polygon is used as a symbol for the Aleister Crowley Foundation.

Symbols statue of liberty 11 point star

You get an 11 pointed star which first, pi is approximately 22/7, and second, for small angles, tan a, a and sin a are all approximately equal. Therefore tan pi/22 = 1/7, approximately.

IS SHE A GODDESS OF HEAVEN (CHRIST) OR HELL (BABYLON)?

The number eleven is the unseen number that co-relates others invisibly from the center, and is the number of Christ or Jesus in Gematria because he is the invisible Force behind all of Creation. The Chemical Element, Sodium has an atomic number of 11. The secrets of salt are found in Matthew 5:13-16 – “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet. (Statue of Isis) “You are the light of the world (she holds the torch of light). A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Isis was sometimes known as Maut (Mut), the mother goddess who was considered a primal deity, associated with the waters (Chaos/Abyss) from which everything was born through parthenogenesis. That is why the Statue of Liberty was literally placed in the most Eastern location of the United States; where the sun rises in the water on a tiny island at the entrance to New York Harbor, which is not only the Eastern gateway to the U.S., but it is also the financial capital of the world.

The goddess Isis portrayed as a woman, wearing a vulture headdress shaped like a throne in which she holds the light of the sun disk with her cow’s horns. Her headdress represents her vulture like personality, and the sun she has captured in her horns represents the light that she holds, or keeps hidden in wait for her beloved husband Osiris.

    Symbols Isis on throne

The son of Osiris was Horus, who represents light and truth. After the death of her husband Osiris, their son Horus’s right eye was put away and he was placed on his mother’s breast to be suckled until the time and day came, when Horus would redeem his right eye and forever be weened from his mother; to be reborn in order to lift her veil and bring forth the light and truth in the Apocalypse (lifting of the veil). These events we are currently witnessing in our lifetimes with articles and creations such as this.

    Isis_suckling_Horus

Isis was known to the Greeks as the Goddess with ten thousand names, in which Hecate is one of her many titles. In the magical papyri of Ptolemaic Egypt she is called the ‘she-dog’ or ‘bitch.’ Lucan says, “We have received into our Roman temples thine Isis, and divinities half-dog.” Notice the image below and how she also holds the torch similar to the Statue of Liberty (Isis). Hecate was also associated with ghosts, infernal spirits, the dead and sorcery.

Shrines to Hecate were placed at doorways to both homes and cities, with the belief that it would protect from restless dead and other spirits. Hecate who is Isis may very well be the Goddess that we find in New York depicted as “The Statue of Liberty”, which was a gift of friendship from France to the people of the United States. If you look at the Statue of Liberty and the image for Hecate, you will clearly see that they look almost exactly the same.

    Hecate dogs

Proverbs 2:18  – For her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.

This title for Isis is associated with the dog, which also correlates with her shining symbol in the heavens known as Sothis or George Washington hidden handSirius. Sirius is the alpha star in the constellation of Canis Major,” the Great Dog” or more commonly known today as the “Dog Star.” In the heavens AS ABOVE at the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, this symbolic shining Dog star of Isis was aligned precisely with the sun. This would not be the first or the last time that the founding fathers of the United States, being Freemasons, had chosen this exact planetary alignment. For example, at the laying of the cornerstone of the Washington Monument for their good Mason Bro. and first President, George Washington, they had also had timed this event exactly when Sirius was aligned again with the sun.

Hecate is Isis who guards New York, the financial capital of the world, from ghosts, infernal spirits, the dead and sorcery. With money being the root of almost all evil and also the biggest magic trick cast on human kind, which they are still hopelessly under this spell of Isis; it only makes sense that the whole financial world and even our own governments are concealed in the occult, which simply means “hidden.”

“I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet-colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns…. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.” 6[Page 4] Revelation 17:4-6.

These saints and martyrs of Jesus are in this same book symbolized by another woman—“a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars”—who “fled into the wilderness” 7[Page 4] Revelation 12:1, 6, 14. while this terrible woman on the scarlet-colored beast is doing all in her power utterly to “wear out the saints of the Most High.”

    Symbol Liberty in Fire

The condition as thus revealed, is woman against woman—Church against Church: a corrupt Church opposed to the pure Church.

  • Does Consciousness Create Reality?

    Does Consciousness Create Reality?

    quantum-consciousness

Is reality an illusion that we create with our minds?  Does consciousness create the material world?  Before we answer this question, it’s important to note that “reality” is not simply made of tiny physical pieces.  Molecules are made out of atoms, and atoms are made out of subatomic particles such as protons and electrons which are 99.99999% empty space. These are then made out of quarks, which then are a part of a superstring field of some kind which consists of vibrating strings of energy.

We interact with a world of physical objects, but these are really just electrical signals being interpreted by the brain.  At the smallest and most fundamental scales of nature, the idea of “physical reality” is non-existent.  From the Nobel Prize winning father of quantum mechanics Neils Bohr, “Everything we call real is made of things that cannot be regarded as real.  In quantum mechanics hasn’t profoundly shocked you yet, you don’t understand it well enough.”

When you touch your hands together, it is really just empty space touching more empty space, with the slightest ingredient of energetic spin of these minuscule particles.  The constituents of matter have absolutely no physical structure.

This is important to understand, because if we think of the world of quantum physics as being a world of bowling balls and planets, then the idea of consciousness creating reality doesn’t really make sense.  But understanding that reality is a cosmic concoction of non-localized energy and empty space, it becomes clear that our thoughts and the signals they register in the brain also have these same properties at their smallest level.

Consciousness is one of the hard problems in science.  There is no way to explain how something as material as chemical and physical processes can give rise to something as immaterial as experience.  There is no reason why subjective experience exists at all, or how sentience evolved.  Nature would operate just as well without subjectivity, and when we actually try to scientifically investigate the origin and physics of consciousness, we get hints that maybe consciousness and reality are not as separate as material science would have us think.

Here are some principles in quantum mechanics, taken from the book “The Self-Aware Universe” written by former professor of theoretical physics for 30 years at the University of Oregon, Dr. Amit Gozwami:

    – A quantum object (such as an electron) can be at more than one place at the same time. It can be measured as a wave smeared out in space, and can be located at several different points across this wave. This is called the wave property.

    – A quantum object ceases to exist here and simultaneously appears in existence over there without have EVER traveled the intervening space. This is known as the quantum jump.  It essentially teleports.

    – A manifestation of one quantum object, cause by our observations, simultaneously influences its correlated twin object, no matter how far apart they are. Fire an electron and a proton off of an atom. Whatever happens to the electron, the exact same or exact opposite will happen to the proton. This is called quantum-action-at-a-distance.

    – A quantum object cannot be said to manifest in ordinary space-time reality until we observe it as a particle. Consciousness collapses the wave-function of a particle.

This last point is interesting, because it implies that without a conscious observer present to collapse this wave, it would remain physically un-manifested.  Observation not only disturbs what has to be measured, it produces the effect.  This was verified in what is known as the double-slit experiment, where the presence of a conscious observer changed the behaviour of an electron from a wave state to a particle state.  This is known as the “observer effect” and completely shakes what we assume to be true about the physical world.  Here is an easy to understand cartoon rendition of the experiment:

The findings of this experiment were published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature, in which the scientists summarized saying “The introduction of a which- path (welcher Weg) detector for determining the actual path taken by the particle inevitably involved coupling the particle to a measuring environment, which in turn results in dephasing (suppression of interference).”  That’s quite a mouthful, but it basically means that the measurement system used to detect the activity of the particle effected the behaviour of that particle.
As scientist Dr. Dean Radin said in a paper replicating the double-slit experiment, “We compel the electron to assume a definite position. We ourselves produce the results of the measurement.”  Now, a common response to this is “It’s not us who is measuring the electron, it’s the machine that is doing the observation”.  A machine is simply an extension of our consciousness.  This is like saying “It’s not me who is observing the boat way across the lake, it is the binoculars”. The machine does not itself observe anything any more than a computer that interprets sound waves can “listen” to a song.

This has led some scientists to speculate that without consciousness, the universe would exist indeterminately as a sea of quantum potentiality.  In other words, physical reality cannot first exist without subjectivity.  Without consciousness, there is no physical matter.  This is known as the Participatory Anthropic Principle, and was first proposed by physicist Dr. John Wheeler.  Essentially, any possible universe that we can imagine that does not have conscious observers in it can be ruled out immediately.   Consciousness is therefore the ground of being and must have existed prior to the physical universe.  Consciousness literally creates the physical world.

    8358108650_1964983859_z

These findings provide huge implications for how we understand out interconnectedness with the external world, and the kind of relationship we can have with the universe.  We as living beings have direct access to the source of all being and the ground of all physical existence.  Consciousness.  ”We create our reality” is used to refer to the fact that our thoughts create the perspective we have of the world, but we now have a more concrete and literal understanding of this phrase.

We give rise to the physical universe with our subjectivity.  The fabric of the universe itself is consciousness, and we just happen to possess one little ripple of a universal sea. How lucky we are to experience this miracle of life as the universe continues to experience its consciousness through us.

“I  regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.” – Max Planck, Nobel Prize winning originator of quantum theory, as quoted in The Observer (25 January 1931).

  • Teleportation of Physical Objects

teleport-300x231The concept of teleportation comes primarily from science fiction literature throughout human history, but things are changing. It’s 2014 and developments in quantum theory and general relativity physics have been successful in exploring the concept of teleportation for quite some time now.

Today, numerous teleportation breakthroughs have been made. One example is the work of Professor Rainer Blatt, at the University of Innsbruck. They were successfully able to perform teleportation on atoms for the first time, their work was published in the journal Nature.(1) They were able to transfer key properties of one particle to another without using any physical link. In this case, teleportation occurred in the form of transferring quantum states between two atoms, these include the atom’s energy, motion, magnetic field and other physical properties. This is possible due to the strange behavior that exists at the atomic scale, known as entanglement. It’s what Einstein referred to as a “spooky action.”

Another study was published by a team of University of Queensland physicists in the journalNature in 2013 demonstrating the successful teleportation with solid state systems. (2) A process by which, again, quantum information can be transmitted from one place to another without sending a physical carrier of information. This is the same concept, and is made possible through the phenomenon of entanglement.

Quantum teleportation has been replicated by numerous scientists all over the world a number of times.

The above examples all refer to quantum teleportation, and given that we are all made up of atoms, it lends belief to the possibility that one day we will be able to teleport full physical objects, but some studies, at the highest levels of government, suggest that it’s already been done.

There are different categories of teleportation. Again, the two examples I used above are refereed to as quantum teleportation. Another type of teleportation is psychic, which is the conveyance of persons or inanimate objects by psychic means.

“It became known to myself, along with several colleagues both inside and outside of government, that anomalous teleportation has been scientifically investigated and separately documented by the Department of Defense.” (3) – Eric Davis, Ph.D, FBIS

A paper published in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) in September 1981, in the journal Ziran Zazhi (Nature Journal) tilted “Some Experiments on the Transfer of Objects Performed by Unusual Abilities of the Human Body” (Shuhuang et al., 1981) reported that ‘gifted children,’ were able to cause the teleportation of small, physical objects from one place to another. Objects included watches, horseflies, other insects, radio micro-transmitters, photosensitive paper and more. The participants never touched the objects beforehand. The experiments were done under both blind and double-blind conditions, and the researches involved came from various colleges and sectors of the Department of Defense.(3) This is an exceptional case, because it was deemed necessary that an unclassified Intelligence Information Report be prepared for public viewing.

More research was done by the Aerospace Medicine Engineering Institute in Beijing, in July of 1990. It was published in the Chinese Journal of Somatic Science (Kongzhi et al., 1990: Jinggen et al., 1990; Banghui; 1990). This study reported several experiments involving high speed photography video taping, which was able to capture the transfer of test specimens like nuts, matches, nails, pills and more through the walls of sealed paper envelopes, sealed glass bottles and tubes, sealed plastic film canisters and more without the walls of any of these containers being breached.  All of these experiments reported using gifted children and adults to cause the teleportation of various materials.(3)

In all of the examples, it was reported that the test specimens remained in their original state after teleportation, including the insects.

“The Chinese papers are all extremely interesting and very well written, and they show photographs and schematic diagrams of the various experimental setups. The experimental protocols were explained in lengthy detail, and through data and thorough data and statistical analysis were presented in the results.”
    (3)  Eric Davis, Ph.D, FBIS

    The experiments showed that:

    • Different research groups designed different experimental methods, used gifted psychics, different sealed containers and test specimens that were to be teleported
    • Time required for teleportation of the test specimens through various barriers was anywhere from a fraction of a second to several minutes, it didn’t matter which test specimen was used.
    • The high-speed photography/videotaping recorded test specimens melding or blending with the walls of sealed containers, and then simply disappear from inside the container only to reappear at another location.
    • The Radio Micro-transmitter used as a test specimen changed in frequency dramatically during teleportation, researchers concluded that this indicated that the specimen was “nonexistent,” or in another altered physical state during teleportation. The frequency of the transmission were stable before and after teleportation
    • The experimental results were all repeatable
    • The conditions for fraud and sleight of hand were totally eliminated, and multiple outside witnesses (technical and military-intelligence experts) were present at all times

Obviously, the scientists could not offer an explanation to explain the results.

“Some researchers state that it is necessary to invoke a new physics, which somehow unifies the human consciousness (i.e., physics of consciousness) with quantum and spacetime physics, in order to understand psychic teleportation and related PK phenomena. The researchers were amazed by their repeated results, and were barely able to fathom the altered “state of being” that test specimens underwent during teleportation.” (3) – Eric Davis, Ph.D, FBIS

This was the conclusion given by Eric W. Davis, in the same report cited throughout this article, done for the United States Air Force, at their research lab which was approved for public release:(3)

“The results of the Chinese Teleportation experiments can simply be explained as a human consciousness phenomenon that somehow acts to move or rotate test specimens through a 4th spacial dimension, so that specimens are able to penetrate the solid walls/barriers of their containers without physically breaching them.”  – Eric Davis, Ph.D, FBIS

This is just another example of many that demonstrate the validity of consciousness, and the many different influences it can have on our physical material world.

  • Total Moon Eclipse

    Total Moon Eclipse

    IMG_4617

Late Monday night, the moon is going to bleed in a crimson hue as the night sky attempts to swallow it whole. At least, that was the 16th-century interpretation of a total lunar eclipse. Those in North and South America are in for a treat.

For those of us here in the United States, a pretty stellar — and lunar — year of eclipse watching is about to kick off. It begins late Monday night when the full moon passes into Earth’s reddish-orange shadow, creating a disappearing blood-moon effect that’s enough to make you think you’ve been transported into Westeros and a long winter has finally arrived.

This week’s full-blown eclipse is just one of four we’ll see in the coming months — the night will also appear to swallow the moon on October 8 of this year and April 4 and September 28 of 2015. This grouping is called a tetrad, and it’s a particularly rare tetrad because there’s a good chance that all four events will be visible from most locations in the United States, according to NASA. This will be one of just nine tetrads to occur in the 21st century. In the past, though, we’ve gone as long as three centuries with no tetrads, so it’s a good time to be an eclipse fan.

The eclipse will begin Monday night at 11 p.m. on the West Coast or 2 a.m. Eastern. (It’ll also be visible from South America.) An hour later, the moon should be fully in the umbral shadow of Earth, which projects a reddish glow on to our lone satellite. This happens because our planet doesn’t exactly block all the sun’s light from reaching the moon and being reflected back to us.

To paraphrase the NASA video below, think of the reddish hue of the eclipsed moon as the light of every sunrise and sunset occurring on Earth at that moment — the little bits of the sun’s glow that are seeping around the edge of Earth’s obstructive disc and making their way to the moon.

The red phase of the moon should last for about 78 minutes according to NASA, so get ready for a late night, and tweet your best eclipse pics at me, @ericcmack, and@crave.

If your local forecast calls for cloudy skies or you don’t happen to be in North or South America, you can still catch the eclipse online.

  • The Sirius Connection

    The Sirius Connection

    star1

Since ancient times and across multiple civilizations, Sirius, the dog star, has been surrounded with a mysterious lore.

Esoteric teachings of all ages have invariably attributed to Sirius a special status and the star’s importance in occult symbolism is an attestation of that fact. What makes Sirius so special?

Is it simply due to the fact that it is the brightest star in the sky? Or is it also because humanity has an ancient, mysterious connection with it?

This article looks at the importance of Sirius throughout History and secret societies and will describe the symbolism surrounding it.

Sirius is located in the constellation Canis Major – also known as the Big Dog – and is therefore known as the “dog star”. It is over twenty times brighter than our sun and is twice as massive.

At night time, Sirius is the brightest star in the sky and its blue-white glare never failed to amaze star gazers since the dawn of time. No wonder Sirius has been revered by practically all civilizations. But is there more to Sirius than meets the eye?

Artifacts of ancient civilizations have revealed that Sirius was of a great importance in astronomy, mythology and occultism. Mystery schools consider it to be “sun behind the sun” and, therefore, the true source of our sun’s potency.

If our sun’s warmth keeps the physical world alive, Sirius is considered to keep the spiritual world alive. It is the “real light” shining in the East, the spiritual light, where as the sun illuminates the physical world, which is considered to be a grand illusion.

Associating Sirius with the divine and even considering it as the home of humanity’s “great teachers” is not only embedded in the mythology of a few primitive civilizations: It is a widespread belief that has survived (and even intensified) to this day.

We will look at the importance of Sirius in ancient times, analyze its prominence in secret societies and we will examine these esoteric concepts as they are translated in popular culture.

    In Ancient Civilizations

In Ancient Egypt, Sirius was regarded as the most important star in the sky. In fact, it was astronomically the foundation of the Egyptians’ entire religious system. It was revered as Sothis and was associated with Isis, the mother goddess of Egyptian mythology. Isis is the female aspect of the trinity formed by herself, Osiris and their son Horus.

Ancient Egyptians held Sirius in such a high regard that most of their deities were associated, in some way or another, with the star. Anubis, the dog-headed god of death, had an obvious connection with the dog star and Toth-Hermes, the great teacher of humanity, was also esoterically connected with the star.

The Egyptian calendar system was based on the heliacal rising of Sirius that occurred just before the annual flooding of the Nile during summer. The star’s celestial movement was also observed and revered by ancient Greeks, Sumerians, Babylonians and countless other civilizations.

The star was therefore considered sacred and its apparition in the sky was accompanied with feasts and celebrations. The dog star heralded the coming of the hot and dry days of July and August, hence the popular term “the dog days of summer”.

Several occult researchers have claimed that the Great Pyramid of Giza was built in perfect alignment with the stars, especially Sirius. The light from these stars were said to be used in ceremonies of Egyptian Mysteries.

“These ancient people (Egyptians) knew that once every year the Parent Sun is in line with the Dog Star.

“Therefore, the Great Pyramid was so constructed that, at this sacred moment, the light of the Dog Star fell upon the square “Stone of God” at the upper end of the Great Gallery, descending upon the head of the high priest, who received the Super Solar Force and sought through his own perfected Solar Body to transmit to other Initiates this added stimulation for the evolution of their Godhood.

“This then was the purpose of the ‘Stone of God, whereon in the Ritual, Osiris sits to bestow upon him (the illuminate) the Atf crown or celestial light.’ ‘North and South of that crown is love,’ proclaims an Egyptian hymn.

“And thus throughout the teaching of Egypt the visible light was but the shadow of the invisible Light; and in the wisdom of the ancient country the measures of Truth were the years of the Most High. [1]

Recent scientific discoveries relating to the Great Pyramid and its mysterious “air shafts” have lead researchers to further confirm the importance of Sirius within the pyramid.

A fascinating aspect of Sirius is the consistency of the symbolism and meanings attached to it. Several great civilizations have indeed associated Sirius with a dog-like figure and viewed the star as either the source or the destination of a mysterious force. In Chinese and Japanese astronomy, Sirius is known as the “star of the celestial wolf”.

Several aboriginal tribes of North America referred to the star in canine terms: the Seri and Tohono O’odham tribes of the southwest describe the Sirius as a “dog that follows mountain sheep”, while the Blackfoot call it “Dog-face”.

The Cherokee paired Sirius with Antares as a dog-star guardian of the “Path of Souls”.

The Wolf (Skidi) tribe of Nebraska knew it as the “Wolf Star”, while other branches of knew it as the “Coyote Star”. Further north, the Alaskan Inuit of the Bering Strait called it “Moon Dog”. [2]

    The Dogon Tribe and Atlantis

In 1971, the American author Robert Temple published a controversial book entitled The Sirius Mystery where he claimed that the Dogons (an ancient African tribe from Mali) knew details about Sirius that would be impossible to be know without the use of telescopes.

According to him, the Dogon understood the binary nature of Sirius, which is, in fact, composed of two stars named Sirius A and Sirius B. This lead Robert Temple to believe that the Dogons had “direct” connections with beings from Sirius.

While some might say “you can’t be Sirius” (sorry), a great number of secret societies (who have historically held within their ranks some of the world’s most influential people) and belief systems teach about a mystic connection between Sirius and humanity.

In Dogon mythology, humanity is said to be born from the Nommo, a race of amphibians who were inhabitants of a planet circling Sirius. They are said to have “descended from the sky in a vessel accompanied by fire and thunder” and imparted to humans profound knowledge.

This lead Robert Temple to theorize that the Nommos were extraterrestrial inhabitants of Sirius who travelled to earth at some point in the distant past to teach ancient civilizations (such as the Egyptians and Dogons) about the Sirius star system as well as our own solar system.

These civilizations would then record the Nommos’ teachings in their religions and make them a central focus of their Mysteries. The Dogon’s mythology system is strikingly similar to the ones of other civilizations such as the Sumerians, Egyptians, Israelites and Babylonians as it includes the archetypal myth of a “great teacher from above”.

Depending on the civilization, this great teacher is known as eith Enoch, Thoth or Hermes Trismegistus and is said to have taught humanity theurgic sciences. In occult traditions, it is believed that Thoth-Hermes had taught the people of Atlantis, which, according to legend, became the world’s most advanced civilization before the entire continent was submerged by the Great Deluge (accounts of a flood can be found in the mythologies of countless civilizations).

Survivors from Atlantis travelled by boat to several countries, including Egypt, where they imparted their advanced knowledge. Occultists believe that the inexplicable resemblances between distant civilizations (such as the Mayas and the Egyptians) can be explained by their common contact with Atlanteans.

“Was the religious, philosophic, and scientific knowledge possessed by the priestcrafts of antiquity secured from Atlantis, whose submergence obliterated every vestige of its part in the drama of world progress?

“Atlantean sun worship has been perpetuated in the ritualism and ceremonialism of both Christianity and pagandom. Both the cross and the serpent were Atlantean emblems of divine wisdom.

“The divine (Atlantean) progenitors of the Mayas and Quichés of Central America coexisted within the green and azure radiance of Gucumatz, the ‘plumed’ serpent.

“The six sky-born sages came into manifestation as centers of light bound together or synthesized by the seventh – and chief – of their order, the ‘feathered’ snake. The title of ‘winged’ or ‘plumed’ snake was applied to Quetzalcoatl, or Kukulcan, the Central American initiate.

“The center of the Atlantean Wisdom-Religion was presumably a great pyramidal temple standing on the brow of a plateau rising in the midst of the City of the Golden Gates. From here the Initiate-Priests of the Sacred Feather went forth, carrying the keys of Universal Wisdom to the uttermost parts of the earth.
    (…)
“From the Atlanteans the world has received not only the heritage of arts and crafts, philosophies and sciences, ethics and religions, but also the heritage of hate, strife, and perversion.

“The Atlanteans instigated the first war; and it has been said that all subsequent wars were fought in a fruitless effort to justify the first one and right the wrong which it caused. Before Atlantis sank, its spiritually illumined Initiates, who realized that their land was doomed because it had departed from the Path of Light, withdrew from the ill-fated continent.

“Carrying with them the sacred and secret doctrine, these Atlanteans established themselves in Egypt, where they became its first ‘divine’ rulers. Nearly all the great cosmologic myths forming the foundation of the various sacred books of the world are based upon the Atlantean Mystery rituals.” [3]

Is Thoth-Hermes-Trismegistus the equivalent of the Dogon’s Nommos, who are believed to originate from Sirius? Ancient texts concerning Hermes describe him as a teacher of mysteries who ‘came from the stars.’ Furthermore, Thoth-Hermes was directly connected with Sirius in Egyptian mythology.

“The dog-star: the star worshipped in Egypt and reverenced by the Occultists; by the former because its heliacal rising with the Sun was a sign of the beneficient inundation of the Nile, and by the latter because it is mysteriously associated with Toth-Hermes, god of wisdom, and Mercury, in another form.

“Thus Sothis-Sirius had, and still has, a mystic and direct influence over the whole living heaven, and is connected with almost every god and goddess. It was “Isis in the heaven” and called Isis-Sothis, for Isis was “in the constellation of the dog”, as is declared on her monuments. Being connected with the Pyramid, Sirius was, therefore, connected with the initiations which took place in it.” [4]

“The Trismegistic treatise ‘The Virgin of the World’ from Egypt refers to ‘the Black Rite’, connected with the ‘black’ Osiris, as the highest degree of secret initiation possible in the ancient Egyptian religion – it is the ultimate secret of the mysteries of Isis.

“This treatise says Hermes came to earth to teach men civilization and then again ‘mounted to the stars’, going back to his home and leaving behind the mystery religion of Egypt with its celestial secrets which were some day to be decoded.” [5]

Interpreting the mythology of ancient cultures is not an exact science and connections are inherently difficult to prove. However, the symbolic link between Sirius and occult knowledge has constantly appeared throughout History and has seamlessly traveled through the ages.

In fact, it is as revered today as it was millenniums ago. Modern secret societies such as the Freemasons, the Rosicrucians and the Golden Dawn (which are considered to be Hermetic Orders due to the fact their teachings are based on those of Hermes Trismegistus) all attribute to Sirius the utmost importance.

An educated look at their symbolism provides a glimpse at the profound connection between Sirius and occult philosophy.

Sirius in Occult Symbolism and Secret Societies

To claim that Sirius is “important” to Hermetic Orders would be a gross understatement. The dog star is nothing less than the central focus of the teachings and symbolism of secret societies. The ultimate proof of this fact: many secret societies are actually named after the star.

    In the Tarot

The seventeenth numbered major trump is called Les Étoiles, (French for The Star), and portrays a young girl kneeling with one foot in water and the other on and, her body somewhat suggesting the swastika.

She has two urns, the contents of which she pours upon the land and sea.

Above the girl’s head are eight stars, one of which is exceptionally large and bright. Count de Gébelin considers the great star to be Sothis or Sirius; the other seven are the sacred planets of the ancients.

He believes the female figure to be Isis in the act of causing the inundations of the Nile which accompanied the rising of the Dog Star.

The unclothed figure of Isis may well signify that Nature does not receive her garment of verdure until the rising of the Nile waters releases the germinal life of plants and flowers. [6]

    In Freemasonry

In Masonic lodges, Sirius is known as the “Blazing Star” and a simple look at its prominence in Masonic symbolism reveals its utmost importance. The Masonic author William Hutchinson wrote about Sirius:

“It is the first and most exalted object that demands our attention in the Lodge.”

Sirius, the Blazing Star, at the center of the Masonic mosaic pavement.

The same way the light of Sirius made its way into the Great Pyramid during initiations, it is symbolically present in Masonic lodges.

The Blazing Star shining upon members of a Masonic lodge

“The Ancient Astronomers saw all the great Symbols of Masonry in the Stars. Sirius glitters in our lodges as the Blazing Star.” [7]

“(The Blazing Star) originally represented SIRIUS, or the Dog-star, the forerunner of the inundation of the Nile; the God ANUBIS, companion of ISIS in her search for the body of OSIRIS, her brother and husband.

“Then it became the image of HORUS, the son of OSIRIS, himself symbolized also by the Sun, the author of the Seasons, and the God of Time; Son of ISIS, who was the universal nature, himself the primitive matter, inexhaustible source of Life, spark of uncreated fire, universal seed of all beings.

“It was HERMES, also, the Master of Learning, whose name in Greek is that of the God Mercury.” [8]

In Freemasonry, it is taught that the Blazing Star is a symbol of deity, of omnipresence (the Creator is present everywhere) and of omniscience (the Creator sees and knows all).

Sirius is therefore the “sacred place” all Masons must ascend to: It is the source of divine power and the destination of divine individuals. This concept is often represented in Masonic art.

To achieve perfection, the initiate must successfully understand and internalize the dual nature of the world (good and evil; masculine and feminine; black and white, etc.) through alchemical metamorphosis.

This concept is symbolically represented by the union of Osiris and Isis (the male and female principles) to give birth to Horus, the star-child, the Christ-like figure, the perfected man of Freemasonry – who is equated with the Blazing Star.

“The sun and moon … represent the two grand principles … the male and the female … both shed their light upon their offspring, the blazing star, or Horus.” [9]

The Egyptian hieroglyph representing Sirius has been esoterically interpreted to be a representation of this cosmic trinity.

This concept is so crucial for Freemasons, that it was embedded in some of the most important structures in the world. As stated by Albert Pike above, the Egyptian god Horus and the star Sirius are often associated.

In Masonic symbolism, the eye of Horus (or the All-Seeing Eye) is often depicted surrounded by the glittering of light of Sirius.

Given the symbolic correlation between the All-Seeing Eye and Sirius, the next image becomes self-explanatory.

    Amazing esoteric codes unlocked in the Vatican: The Vatican City And Rome: Esoteric Beyond Belief;

    Order of the Eastern Star

Considered to be the “female version” of Freemasonry (although men can join), the Order of the Eastern Star (OES) is directly named after Sirius, the “Star rising from the East”. A “general public” explanation of the origins of the Order’s name claims it originated from the “Star of the East” that lead the Three Magis to Jesus Christ.

A look into the occult meaning of the Order’s symbolism however makes it clear that the OES is a reference to Sirius, the most important star of Freemasonry, its parent organization.

Madame Blavatsky, Alice Bailey and TheosophyHelena Blavatsky and Alice Bailey, the two main figures associated with Theosophy, have both considered Sirius to be a source esoteric power. Blavatsky stated that the star Sirius exerts a mystic and direct influence over the entire living heaven and is linked with every great religion of antiquity.

Alice Bailey sees the Dog Star as the true “Great White Lodge” and believes it to be the home of the “Spiritual Hierarchy”. For this reason she considers Sirius as the “star of initiation”.

“This is the great star of initiation because our Hierarchy (an expression of the second aspect of divinity) is under the supervision or spiritual magnetic control of the Hierarchy of Sirius. These are the major controlling influences whereby the cosmic Christ works upon the Christ principle in the solar system, in the planet, in man and in the lower forms of life expression. It is esoterically called the “brilliant star of sensitivity.” [10]

Not unlike most many esoteric writers, Bailey considers Sirius to have a great impact on human life.

“All that can be done here in dealing with this profound subject is to enumerate briefly some of the cosmic influences which definitely affect our earth, and produce results in the consciousness of men everywhere, and which, during the process of initiation, bring about certain specific phenomena.

“First and foremost is the energy or force emanating from the sun Sirius. If it might be so expressed, the energy of thought, or mind force, in its totality, reaches the solar system from a distant cosmic centre via Sirius. Sirius acts as the transmitter, or the focalising centre, whence emanate those influences which produce self-consciousness in man.” [11]

Aleister Crowley, the A.A. and Kenneth Grant

In 1907, Crowley started his own occult order called the A.A. – short for Argentium Astrum, which can be translated to ‘The Order of the Silver Star’.

The ‘Silver Star’ was, of course, a reference to Sirius.

Even if Crowley almost always referred to the dog star in veiled terms, the whole of his magickal philosophy, from his development as a young Freemason through to his final years as the Head of the O.T.O, is wholly in accordance with the Sirian influence, which was identified and expressed by other writers of his era.

His alleged contact with his Holy Guardian Angel that later led to the channelling of ‘Liber AL: The Book of the Law’ is believed to have originated from Sirius.

If Crowley used code words to describe Sirius, his protégé Kenneth Grant has explicitly and extensively written about the dog star. Throughout his numerous books, he often described Sirius as being a powerful center of magical magnetic power.

His belief that the star holds the central key to unlocking the mysteries of the Egyptian and Typhonian traditions has strengthened over time and became a central focus of his research.

One of Grant’s most important and controversial thesis was his discovery of the “Sirius/Set current”, which is an extra-terrestrial dimension connecting Sirius, the Earth and Set, the Eyptian god of Chaos – who was later associated with Satan.

“Set is the initiator, the Opener of mans’ consciousness to the rays of the Undying God typified by Sirius – the Sun in the South.” [12]

“Sirius, or Set, was the original “headless one” – the light of the lower region (the south) who was known (in Egypt) as An (the dog), hence Set-An (Satan), Lord of the infernal regions, the place of heat, later interpreted in a moral sense as ‘hell.’” [13]

Although each occult philosophy describes Sirius in a slightly different matter, it is still consistently regarded as the “sun behind the sun”, the true source of occult power. It is perceived as the cradle of human knowledge and the belief of the existence of a strong connection between the star and planet Earth never seems to become outdated.

Is there a true link between Sirius and Earth? Is the dog star an esoteric symbol representing something happening in the spiritual realm? It is both?

One thing is for sure, the cult of Sirius is not a “thing of the past” and is very alive today. An in-depth look at our popular culture, which is heavily influenced by occult symbolism, reveals numerous references to Sirius.

    Sirius in Popular Culture

Direct references to Sirius in popular culture are too many to enumerate (e.g. see the name and the logo of the most important satellite radio in the world). A more interesting aspect of popular culture to analyze are the coded references to Sirius.

Important movies have indeed made veiled yet profound references to the dog star (apparently intended to those “in the know”), where the star plays the role it was always given by the Mysteries: as an initiator and a divine teacher. Here are some examples:

In Disney’s Pinocchio, based on a story written by Freemason Carlo Collodi, Gepetto prays to the brightest star in the sky to have a “real boy”. The Blue Fairy (her color is a reference to Sirius’ light-blue glow) then descends from the heavens to give life to Pinocchio.

Throughout the marionette’s quest to become a boy (an allegory for esoteric initiation), the Blue Fairy guides Pinocchio towards the “right path”. Sirius is therefore represented as a source of life, a guide and a teacher.

The theme song of the movie Pinocchio is also an ode to Sirius:

“When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires will come to you.

“If your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star as dreamers do.

“(Fate is kind, she brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing).

“Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you thru
When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true.”

    In Conclusion

From the dawn of civilization to modern times, from remote tribes of Africa to the great capitals of the modern world, Sirius was – and still is – seen as a life-giver. Despite the disparity between cultures and epochs, the same mysterious attributes are given to the dog star, which can lead us to ask: how can all theses definitions synchronize so perfectly?

Is there a common source to these myths about Sirius? The dog star is invariably associated with divinity and is regarded as a source of knowledge and power.

These connections are particularly evident when one examines the teachings and the symbolism of secret societies, who have always taught about a mystical link with this particular celestial body.

Is there a secret link between human evolution and Sirius? Unlocking this secret would mean unlocking one of humanity’s greatest mysteries.

  • You Are The Universe

A recognition of alliance is growing among people in diverse arenas of activism, whether political, social, or spiritual. The holistic acupuncturist and the sea turtle rescuer may not be able to explain the feeling, “We are serving the same thing,” but they are. Both are in service to an emerging Story of the People that is the defining mythology of a new kind of civilization.

I will call it the Story of Interbeing, the Age of Reunion, the ecological age, the world of the gift. It offers an entirely different set of answers to the defining questions of life. Here are some of the principles of the new story:

    • That my being partakes of your being and that of all beings. This goes beyond interdependency—our very existence is relational.
    • That, therefore, what we do to another, we do to ourselves.
    • That each of us has a unique and necessary gift to give the world.
    • That the purpose of life is to express our gifts.
    • That every act is significant and has an effect on the cosmos.
    • That we are fundamentally unseparate from each other, from all beings, and from the universe.
    • That every person we encounter and every experience we have mirrors something in ourselves.
    • That humanity is meant to join fully the tribe of all life on Earth, offering our uniquely human gifts toward the well-being and development of the whole.
    • That purpose, consciousness, and intelligence are innate properties of matter and the universe.

The more we share with each other this kind of knowledge, the stronger we are in it, the less alone. It needn’t depend on the denial of science, because science is undergoing parallel paradigm shifts. It needn’t endure the denial of livelihood, because from a trust in gift we find unexpected sources of sustenance.

It needn’t withstand the denial of everyone around us, because more and more people are living from the new story, each in his or her own way, inducing a growing feeling of camaraderie. Nor is it a turning away from the world that is still mired in Separation, because from the new story we access new and powerful ways to effect change.

The fundamental precept of the new story is that we are inseparate from the universe, and our being partakes in the being of everyone and everything else. Why should we believe this? Let’s start with the obvious: This interbeing is something we can feel. Why does it hurt when we hear of another person coming to harm? Why, when we read of mass die-offs of the coral reefs and see their bleached skeletons, do we feel like we’ve sustained a blow? It is because it is literally happening to our selves, our extended selves.

The separate self wonders, “How could this affect me?” The pain is irrational, to be explained away, perhaps, as the misfiring of some genetically coded empathy circuit meant to protect those who share our DNA. But why does it extend so easily to strangers, even to other species? Why do we desire so strongly to serve the good of all? Why, when we achieve a maximum of personal security and comfort, are we still dissatisfied? Certainly, as a little introspection will reveal, our desire to help is not coming from a rational calculation that this injustice or that ecological disaster will somehow, someday, threaten our personal well-being. The pain is more direct, more visceral than that. The reason it hurts is because it is literally happening to ourselves.

The science of Separation offers another explanation of what it calls “altruistic behavior.” Maybe it is a kind of mating display, which demonstrates one’s “phenotypic quality” to prospective mates (i.e., it shows that one is so “fit” that he can afford to squander resources on others). But this explanation takes as an unexamined premise another assumption of the worldview of Separation: a scarcity of mating opportunities and a competition for mates.

     http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3719/12400023973_3c037c11fa_h.jpg
As anthropology, reviewed in books like Sex at Dawn, has discovered though, this view of primitive life is more a projection of our own social experience onto the past than it is an accurate description of hunter-gatherer life, which was communal. A more sophisticated explanation draws on game theoretic calculations of the relative advantages of being a strong reciprocator, weak reciprocator, etc., in situations of mutual dependency. Such theories are actually a step closer to an evolutionary biology of interbeing, as they break down the idea that “self-interest” can ever exist independently of the interest of others.

The desire to serve something transcending the separate self and the pain we feel from the suffering of others are two sides of the same coin. Both bespeak our interbeingness. The emerging science that seeks to explain them, whether it invokes mirror neurons, horizontal gene transfer, group evolution, morphic fields, or something further out, doesn’t explain them away, but merely illustrates a general principle of connection or, dare I say it, oneness. The science is beginning to confirm what we have intuitively known all along: we are greater than what we have been told. We are not just a skin-encapsulated ego, a soul encased in flesh. We are each other and we are the world.

Our society runs in large part on the denial of that truth. Only by interposing ideological and systemic blinders between ourselves and the victims of industrial civilization can we bear to carry on. Few of us would personally rob a hungry three-year-old of his last crust or abduct his mother at gunpoint to work in a textile factory, but simply through our consumption habits and our participation in the economy, we do the equivalent every day. And everything that is happening to the world is happening to ourselves. Distanced from the dying forests, the destitute workers, the hungry children, we do not know the source of our pain, but make no mistake—just because we don’t know the source doesn’t mean we don’t feel the pain.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8051/8357051247_237f7955b6_b.jpgOne who commits a direct act of violence will, if and when she realizes what she has done, feel remorse, a word that literally means “biting back.” Even to witness such an act is painful. But most of us cannot feel remorse for, say, the ecological harm that the mining of rare earth minerals for our cell phones does in Brazil. The pain from that, and from all the invisible violence of the Machine of industrial civilization, is more diffuse. It pervades our lives so completely that we barely know what it is like to feel good. Occasionally, we get a brief respite from it, maybe by grace, or through drugs, or being in love, and we believe in those moments that this is what it is supposed to feel like to be alive. Rarely, though, do we stay there for very long, immersed as we are in a sea of pain.
Our situation is much like that of a little girl who was taken by her mother to visit a chiropractor friend of mine. Her mother said, “I think something is wrong with my daughter. She is a very quiet little girl and always well behaved, but never once have I heard her laugh. In fact, she rarely even smiles.”

My friend examined her and discovered a spinal misalignment that, she judged, would give the girl a terrific headache all the time. Fortunately, it was one of those misalignments that a chiropractor can correct easily and permanently. She made the adjustment—and the girl broke into a big laugh, the first her mother had ever heard. The omnipresent pain in her head, which she had come to accept as normal, was miraculously gone.

Many of you might doubt that we live in a “sea of pain.” I feel pretty good right now myself. But I also carry a memory of a far more profound state of well-being, connectedness, and intensity of awareness that felt, at the time, like my birthright. Which state is normal? Could it be that we are bravely making the best of things?

How much of our dysfunctional, consumptive behavior is simply a futile attempt to run away from a pain that is in fact everywhere? Running from one purchase to another, one addictive fix to the next, a new car, a new cause, a new spiritual idea, a new self-help book, a bigger number in the bank account, the next news story, we gain each time a brief respite from feeling pain. The wound at its source never vanishes though. In the absence of distraction—those moments of what we call “boredom”—we can feel its discomfort.

Of course, any behavior that alleviates pain without healing its source can become addictive. We should therefore hesitate to cast judgment on anyone exhibiting addictive behavior (a category that probably includes nearly all of us). What we see as greed or weakness might merely be fumbling attempts to meet a need, when the true object of that need is unavailable. In that case the usual prescriptions for more discipline, self-control, or responsibility are counterproductive.

Notice whether, when I described people “running from one purchase to another,” you felt any contempt or smugness. That too is a kind of separation. The transition we are entering is a transition to a story in which contempt and smugness no longer have a home. It is a story in which we cannot see ourselves as better than any other human being. It is a story in which we no longer use fear of self-contempt to drive our ethics. And we will inhabit this story not in aspiration to an ideal of virtuous nonjudgment, forgiveness, etc., but in sober recognition of the truth of nonseparation.

In Sacred Economics I made the point that what we perceive as greed might be an attempt to expand the separate self in compensation for the lost connections that compose the self of interbeing; that the objects of our selfish desires are but substitutes for what we really want. Advertisers play on this all the time, selling sports cars as a substitute for freedom, junk food and soda as a substitute for excitement, “brands” as a substitute for social identity, and pretty much everything as a substitute for sex, itself a proxy for the intimacy that is so lacking in modern life. We might also see sports hero worship as a substitute for the expression of one’s own greatness, amusement parks as a substitute for the transcending of boundaries, pornography as a substitute for self-love, and overeating as a substitute for connection or the feeling of being present.

What we really need is nearly unavailable in the lives that society offers us. You see, even the behaviors that seem to exemplify selfishness may also be interpreted as our striving to regain our interbeingness.

Another nonscientific indication of our true nature is visible in yet another apparent manifestation of greed: the endless pursuit of wealth and power. What are we to make of the fact that for many of the very rich, no amount of money is enough? Nor can any amount of power satisfy the ambitious. Perhaps what is happening is that the desire to serve the common good is being channeled toward a substitute, and of course, no amount of the substitute can equal the authentic article.

Upon each of us, the wound of Separation, the pain of the world, lands in a different way. We seek our medicine according to the configuration of that wound. To judge someone for doing that would be like to condemn a baby for crying. To condemn what we see as selfish, greedy, egoic, or evil behavior and to seek to suppress it by force without addressing the underlying wound is futile: the pain will always find another expression. Herein lies a key realization of interbeing. It says, “I would do as you do, if I were you.” We are one.

The new Story of the People, then, is a Story of Interbeing, of reunion. In its personal expression, it proclaims our deep interdependency on other beings, not only for the sake of surviving but also even to exist. It knows that my being is more for your being. In its collective expression, the new story says the same thing about humanity’s role on Earth and relationship to the rest of nature. It is this story that unites us across so many areas of activism and healing. The more we act from it, the better able we are to create a world that reflects it. The more we act from Separation, the more we helplessly create more of that, too.

People Can Draw Energy From Other People The Same Way Plants Do

A biological research team at Bielefeld University has made a groundbreaking discovery showing that plants can draw an alternative source of energy from other plants. This finding could also have a major impact on the future of bioenergy eventually providing the evidence to show that people draw energy from others in much the same way.

Members of Professor Dr. Olaf Kruse’s biological research team have confirmed for the first time that a plant, the green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, not only engages in photosynthesis, but also has an alternative source of energy: it can draw it from other plants. The research findings were released this week in the online journal Nature Communications published by the renowned journal Nature.

Flowers need water and light to grow and people are no different. Our physical bodies are like sponges, soaking up the environment. “This is exactly why there are certain people who feel uncomfortable in specific group settings where there is a mix of energy and emotions,” said psychologist and energy healer Dr. Olivia Bader-Lee.

    energy

Plants engage in the photosynthesis of carbon dioxide, water, and light. In a series of experiments, Professor Dr. Olaf Kruse and his team cultivated the microscopically small green alga species Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and observed that when faced with a shortage of energy, these single-cell plants can draw energy from neighbouring vegetable cellulose instead. The alga secretes enzymes (so-called cellulose enzymes) that ‘digest’ the cellulose, breaking it down into smaller sugar components. These are then transported into the cells and transformed into a source of energy: the alga can continue to grow. ‘This is the first time that such a behaviour has been confirmed in a vegetable organism’, says Professor Kruse. ‘That algae can digest cellulose contradicts every previous textbook. To a certain extent, what we are seeing is plants eating plants’. Currently, the scientists are studying whether this mechanism can also be found in other types of alga. Preliminary findings indicate that this is the case.

“When energy studies become more advanced in the coming years, we will eventually see this translated to human beings as well,” stated Bader-Lee. “The human organism is very much like a plant, it draws needed energy to feed emotional states and this can essentially energize cells or cause increases in cortisol and catabolize cells depending on the emotional trigger.”

Bader-Lee suggests that the field of bioenergy is now ever evolving and that studies on the plant and animal world will soon translate and demonstrate what energy metaphysicians have known all along — that humans can heal each other simply through energy transfer just as plants do. “Human can absorb and heal through other humans, animals, and any part of nature. That’s why being around nature is often uplifting and energizing for so many people,” she concluded.

Here are five energy tools to use to clear your space and prevent energy drains while releasing people’s energy:

Stay centered and grounded. If you are centered within your spiritual self (instead of your analyzer or ego) you will sense right away when something has moved into your space. If you are fully grounded, you can easily release other people’s energy and emotions down your grounding cord with your intention.

Be in a state of non-resistance. What we resists sticks. If you feel uncomfortable around a certain person or in a group, don’t go into resistance as a way to protect yourself as this will only keep foreign energy stuck in your space. Move into a state of non-resistance by imagining that your body is clear and translucent like clear glass or water. This way, if someone throws some invalidation at you, it will pass right through you.

Own your personal aura space. We each have an energetic aura surrounding our body. If we don’t own this personal space we are vulnerable to foreign energy entering it. Become aware of your aura boundaries (about an arms length away from your body all the way around, above and below) as a way to own your personal space.

Give yourself an energy cleanse. The color gold has a high vibration which is useful for clearing away foreign energy. Imagine a gold shower nozzle at the top of your aura (a few feet above your head) and turn it on, allowing clear gold energy to flow through your aura and body space and release down your grounding. You will immediately feel cleansed and refreshed.

Call back your energy. When we have our energy in our own space there is less room for other’s energy to enter. But as we focus on other people and projects we sometimes spread our energy around. Create an image of a clear gold sun several feet above your head and let it be a magnet, attracting all of your energy back into it (and purifying it in the gold energy). Then bring it down through the top of your aura and into your body space, releasing your energy back into your personal space.
